Andrea ran around the apartment amidst her packing frenzy. She had her suitcase open in the middle of the apartment. She wanted to make sure everything was absolutely perfect for her weekend away with Joba.
Alicia was sitting on Matt's lap in the living room, laughing at Andrea's meltdown. She knew Joba loved her best friend and she knew that Andrea was just overreacting because she wanted everything to go perfectly.
Alicia stood from the couch, grabbing a joint from her stash box and lighting it. She inhaled as she walked back to the couch. Matt took it from her fingers as she exhaled a cloud of smoke.
"Andrea, do you want some? Maybe it'll help you chill out." Alicia laughed, taking another hit.
"Packing high is a nightmare, no thanks."
"Suit yourself." Matt shrugged, exhaling the smoke.
"Okay, I think I'm pretty much packed. I kinda wish I had a new swimsuit though."
"Wanna look good for your Joba." Alicia laughed, shaking her head.
Matt and Alicia finished the joint between the two of them, watching a Bob Ross video in complete silence. Andrea giggled to herself as she watched them. The only time Alicia ever shut the fuck up was when she was high.
Alicia rested her legs on Matt's lap, cuddling into his frame. He had his arm around her, absentmindedly rubbing her shoulder with his thumb. They both felt warm inside, the high treating them both well. Alicia looked up at him, giggling slightly.
"What?" Matt chuckled.
"You're just so fucking cute I can't take it." she laughed, hiding her face in his chest.
They fell into a fit of laughter, the two of them cracking up as Andrea judged them from the kitchen. She made a sandwich and was trying to eat it in peace. Her phone rang, and she looked down to see a text from Roy.
"so uh since when are matt and ali a thing"
"i mean they've been talking for like a month but they labeled it last week"
"she didn't say anything"
"idk i guess she feels like it's awk since y'all are practically family"
"i don't like this"
"matt?"
"yeah."

"idk it's just weird bc they're my friends and i don't want anything to go wrong"
"they seem really happy idk. you know how alicia is ab commitment so i feel like this is big for her"
