Alicia massaged the last bit of sunscreen on Matt's back before slapping his shoulders excitedly.
"Now your white ass won't burn." she joked, sliding over next to him. They sat at the front of her family's boat on a cushioned part of the floor. The boat had a second level, so the front area was pretty private because it was blocked from view to everyone but the driver.
Her uncle was driving the boat out onto the Sand Bar with some of her family. Her cousins were on the second level, eating and getting ready to jump out into the water. Alicia and Matt sipped at their drinks, watching as the water churned under the boat. The buildings were in sight, the sky was clear, and the weather was great. It was the perfect boating day. Her older cousin, Emily, walked over to where they were hanging out and plopped down next to them.
"Can I help you?" Alicia joked, snatching her drink from Emily who had tried to steal it.
"What, this seat taken?" Emily smirked, making Alicia roll her eyes.
"Maybe." Alicia shrugged, bumping her shoulder against Emily's playfully. Their uncle drove through the downtown area and past the skyscrapers and docked on the Sand Bar which faced a lot of really nice houses.
"Come here." Alicia smirked, standing and offering Matt her hand. He took it and stood, following the girls to the top of the boat.
Emily and Alicia looked at each other before smirking and jumping off of the second level
of the boat to the water. They landed with a splash, laughing and surfacing.Matt jumped down, splashing the two of them and soaking them completely. The three of them laughed loudly, grabbing some floaties and laying out on the water.
They spent the rest of the afternoon eating fruit, swimming, tubing, and tanning. It was really fun for the both of them, and Alicia loved seeing how well Matt was getting along with her family. She smiled widely as he splashed around with her younger cousins who had come to love him.
The day flew by, everyone having a really good time. The two sat on the edge of the boat, Alicia's head on his shoulder as they watched the sunset. Her uncle was getting ready to bring the boat back in for the day.
"Today was actually really fun." mumbled Matt, looking down at her. She smiled up at him, connecting her lips with his.
"Ew, gross!" yelled her little cousin from the water. The two pulled apart, bursting into laughter.
They gathered everyone on the boat before returning to land. Matt helped her uncle bring down all the coolers that were on the boat. Emily and Alicia sat on a bench as they waited for everyone else to unload.
"I like him." Emily smiled, turning to face her.
"Wait, really?" Alicia laughed, looking over at Matt who clumsily almost dropped the cooler. He looked back nervously at her uncle but was relieved when he hadn't seen him
"Yeah, he seems like a good guy and the two of you are totally in love. It's kinda weird seeing you like this." Emily giggled, wrapping an arm around her.
"Well, I'm glad you approve."
"Trust me, it's a million steps up from the guys you used to date."
"Wow, drag me." Alicia laughed, smacking her cousin playfully.

Joba and Andrea laid down on the bed, both on their phones.
"Im bored." Andrea goaned, turning to face Joba.
"What do you wanna do?" Joba said dropping his phone and stroking Andrea's face.
"I don't know, I've been stuck in this apartment for like weeks, terrified of anything on the outside. I feel like when I was back in Malibu and I don't want to feel that way."
Joba thought about how much she had revealed to him, her being vulnerable was not easy at all. Even though she came across as an open book, she wasn't actually like that. She was scared of people taking advantage of her.
"You don't have to feel that way, carebear. That guy should be in jail and then rot away in hell."
Andrea chuckled softly as she held Jobas hands. "I don't have to feel that way. I'm gonna fucking reject that feeling and I'm not gonna let him take over my life again!" Andrea excalimed laughing at the end, finally feeling a bit happy.
Joba laughed along with her, kissing her softly as she smiled in-between.
"Come on, lets go." Joba said, getting up and reaching his hand for Andrea to grab.
"Where?" Andrea asked, grabbing her coverup.
"You'll see when you get there." Joba smiled, walking over to get his car keys.
Andrea rolled her eyes, chuckling and putting on some vans before meeting Joba at the car.
They drove to the destination, the sunset hitting their faces as Andrea opened the window and let the breeze hit her hair and face.
Joba smiled at her getting more comfortable with him and kept driving off into the sunset.
They arrived as Andrea looked over to see the famous pier everyone raves about. Andrea actually hadn't been to it since she was too busy to do all the tourist things.
"Aw, the pier." Andrea smiled, holding Joba's hand and walking over to the entrance.
"I figured you've never been here." Joba shrugged, smirking over as Andrea rolled her eyes.
"Its like you read my motherfucking mind oh my gosh." Andrea said, playfully hitting his shoulder with her body.
"Its not that hard, you haven't done half of the things in LA." Joba chuckled off.
"Okay yes I am very much aware." Andrea smirked over as Joba playfully kissed her cheek.
They first ate the typical pier food which included corndogs, corn on the cob, and funnel cake. Then, they decided to go on the ferris wheel.
"Why did we eat so much and then do rides?" Joba questioned as Andrea shook her head.
"Well it doesn't seem that bad, but if I throw up its gonna be on you." Andrea said looking up as Joba gasped.
"Excuse me? I literally brought you here. Appreciate it." Joba joked as Andrea laughed.
"I only ordered the corn dog, you made me finish everything else." Andrea corssed her arms, her head up as Joba smiled.
"You liked it though, you ate it in like a literal second." Joba said getting into the cart as Andrea did too.
"Oh whatever." Andrea laughed as they put the bar down and started the wheel.
Joba put his arm over at Andrea and they watched the night sky and the waves crashing the rocks nearby.
Andrea kissed Joba as they were on top. She felt like a cheesy indie movie but she wanted that. She had felt like she was in an action packed terror filled movie most of her life and for once she wanted this kind of movie. She enjoyed the peaceful and calmness as the pier's loud atmosphere faded out at the top of the ferris wheel.
