Don't Die!

The Final Chapter

I started moving backwards. I had no idea as to what I was going to do. I was really scared, to be precise, dead scared. It is impossible to face him. He has such strength to defeat WWE players. And he looks like a kid. He charged towards me.

He said, 'Well, I guess it's time to say bye to you.'

'Please leave me. Why do you want to do this?'

'Well, I wanna live. I know you're trying to waste time by starting a conversation.'

When he said that, I realised that it's going to be 12 am. I was quite happy. Just a few more minutes. I have to do something. Divert him, maybe.

He raised his saw. That time, I knew I was going to die. I couldn't believe that all of this, from the time ray joined the school till now, happened so fast. There was literally nothing that I could do. There must be something. Nothing is impossible, right.

I thought about everyone, my dog, my parents, James, my school, Mr.Harrison and Susan. What can I do? Will they save me? Or I will die the way Ray died in this home. Finally, after thinking about all of them, I closed my eyes. I was ready. Prepared to die right here, right now.

Ray was about to swing his saw when I heard someone saying, 'Stop right there.'

I opened my eyes and saw the police. They were standing near the door with the gun pointed at Ray. I wanted to scream Yay but I just was silent.

Ray said, 'Oh no! This cannot happen. How can this happen?'

'Well, I called the police before asking for help. I totally forgot about that.' I replied.

I could feel my tears of happiness flow down my cheeks. I was so happy. The police came inside and stood a meter away from Ray. They were still pointing the gun at him.

'Don't move a muscle. You are under arrest.' A man said.

I saw my watch. It showed seconds away from 12am. I counted. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1.

'Bye-bye Ray.' I said. He disappeared in a moment. I then realised something. Ray said that everyone would forget about the presence of Ray this month.

All the police were frightened by seeing what had happened to Ray. All of a sudden, I found myself walking with James to school. I looked at my watch. The date has rewinded a month before.

'Did you do the maths homework?' I asked.

'Yeah, of course. What about you?' He said.

'I had totally forgotten.'

'It's okay. Copy from my book as fast as you can.'

I fled to the table and copied the same math problems I did before. I have no idea why I can remember all the events that happened with me and Ray.

Mr Harrison entered the class. I managed to complete my homework.

'We have a new student here. Come in, Ray.' He said.

I freaked out as Ray entered the class. Harrison made him sit with me as Peter was absent. He smiled at me. He laughed. The same evil laugh.

He said, 'Hi again, Daniel.'
