Kait's POV
Oh my goodness. One of my two best friends got hit by a car! I was in so much shock, (in fact I still am) but thankfully I was calm enough to call Ethan and tell him and he rushed right over; Dad was right,Popcorn wasn't quite ready for the nighttime introduction.
So I sit here, pacing the room every now and then, waiting for her to wake up. But honestly,I think she is awake, but just doesn't want to talk. I know her very well. Finally, I guessed she couldn't take it anymore and opened her eyes, just to find Ethan at her side in a split second;me, not so fast.
"Are you alright? Can you hear me?" I could tell he was shaky, we both knew her since 7th grade, after all. But all he got in reply was a moan; then she rolled over. I silently chuckled at this- she has her ways of saying "I don't want to talk right now, leave me alone." but always in good nature.
Guess I should sleep so I can stay awake when she actually wants to talk. Before I know it,I see the embrace of the back of my eyelids.*I see a circle of light on the floor. Strange. My curiosity overcomes my slight fear and as I walk towards it, it grows brighter with every step. As I step into the middle of it,the circle of light grows to the brightest light possible-I cover my eyes. I uncover them and gasp as I am engulfed in many passageways before me;I hear rushing water. I know it cannot be good. All goes black.*
