Kait's POV
As I looked through the racks of clothing (I threatened Rain to not take me to a dress store) I started thinking about the upcoming date and I got a stampede of butterflies in my stomach. I groaned.
Rain, damn it! I looked around but saw no sign of her. I felt a tap on my shoulder and heard, "looking for someone?". I whipped around and her creepily smiling face was inches from mine and I moved my head backwards.
"Don't do that; it's creepy as shit."
"That's why I do that....." I rolled my eyes.
Of coarse. I only then noticed some cute tops, waist down clothing, and...gulp..dresses. I shuddered.
"Oh yeah- try these on." and she shoved them in my arms. Yep.. always fun shopping .......nah.
I tried on the first dress;which wasn't actually too bad. It was a teal color, that went to my very low thigh and had ruffles all over it. I walked out and showed Rain:
"What do you think?"
"Awesome-looking on you,but let's try some others.....and they don't have to be dresses."
I ran back inside and tried on a few others: dark green dress that only goes on one shoulder (on the side of my arm) , a white 3/4 (down my arms) with pink and corral flowers, and a long, flowing purple skirt , a fiery red dress (which I kind of liked) , some skinny jeans,a really cool tank and a grey hoodie(with converse) , and leggings and athletic shorts over them with a plain black t-shirt (which even I didn't like).
I chose the teal, ruffly dress. And then:
"Come on! You can't wear converse with a dress! At least wear some flats."
"Fine! But if I can't longboard tomorrow because of the blisters, I'm smacking you with cupcake batter!"
"Deal!"
