Chapter 13: Mind of its Own

Chapter 13

          I just stood there unmoving. I was completely and utterly stunned. I was not expecting this, although him nearing me inch by inch should of been a dead giveaway.

          He just kissed me! Without my say in it! Not that I was complaining or anything.

          His lips molded perfectly against mine, it was like our lips were doing a dance of their own. A slow and passionate dance.

          It wasn’t like those hungry, urgent kisses that you see on TV sometimes. You know, the ones that look like the they are eating each other’s face off. Like I said, it was slow and passionate...and I loved it.

          My eyes started to get droopy until they shut closed all the way. My arms unconsciously made their way around his neck. His arms encircled my waist holding me in place, not that I had any ideas of going anywhere, though. He just felt so right.

          I started tugging on his soft blond hair which made him let out a soft moan. I didn’t know what was happening to me. I’ve definitely no experience, whatsoever, in the kissing department...so why is m body acting like it knows exactly what it’s doing?

          He started tracing his tongue on my lower lip. Without even thinking, I parted my lips, granting him entrance. It was like my body had a mind of its own. I was starting to get light-headed and I couldn’t do anything but let him dominate the kiss.

          He slowly pulled away, and I immediately missed his touch. I was still a little flustered but I remembered that we were in school...in the hallway...for everyone to see! Thankfully, it was still early and the hall we were in was empty.

          “So is it a yes?” Jeydon’s voice broke my train of thought. All I did was blush like a tomato, a really attractive look. Note the sarcasm.

          He just smirked. Clearly, he was content with seeing my very attractive look. Again, note the sarcasm. “I’ll take that as a yes,” he said as he continued to smirk. And being very quick witted and smart, I just continued to blush like crazy.

          A short silence fell over us, since I couldn’t think of anything, and I mean ANYTHING, to say. The floor suddenly looked very interesting. Yeah, it’s very nice, very shiny and clean...man, I’m losing my mind...He decided to break the silence. ‘Thank you!’ I screamed in my head, the silence just felt so awkward. “So...” he began. “Do you wanna go out sometime?”

          My head shot up at that. ‘Say whut?’ He really wanted to go out with me?? I bet I look so ridiculous right now, with my eyes practically popping out of my head, and my jaw hitting the floor.

          He chuckled at my reaction. “I really like you, Tori. I have been meaning to ask you out for quite some time now,” he said, placing his hands on either side of my arms. Heat was on my skin again, and I really hope he couldn’t feel that through my jacket...embarrassing much!

          “So...go out with me?” he asked, and he looked so cute, like he was giving me puppy dog eyes. Aww...

          I still had no faith in my voice so I just nodded, with my ridiculous expression still plastered on my face. Very nice, I know. What can you do? To add to that, I am also completely aware that I still look like a complete tomato. The universe just hates me right now.

          He was practically smiling from ear to ear, “Great! So...Saturday? I’ll pick you up at 6?” he asked, waiting for me to confirm. I nodded.

          He just continued to smile and it looked so cute to see him like that. “I’ll see you in class,” he said before heading off somewhere, leaving me standing all alone in the hallway.

          Zane popped up out of nowhere and scared the sh*t right out of me. Can’t a girl smile to herself in peace?

          “Oh my gosh! He kissed you! And I mean the full on kiss!” she yelled in kind of a shushed whisper.

          Her whisper wasn’t really preventing anyone from hearing what she was saying, so I shushed her and dragged her into the nearest restroom.

          I checked the stalls to see if anybody was there. When the coast was clear, I locked the door and turned to her with the biggest grin on my face. It was also obvious that she was equally as excited as me, maybe even more.

          “Tell me all about it! And I mean EVERYTHING! Every detail! I’m all ears. WAS THERE TONGUE???”

          This was going to be a long trip to the restroom.

A/N Okay, first of all I am very sorry for the delay, but school just started and things have already been so hectic:( since it is my junior year, which IS very crucial...but yeah...
