Chapter 10 part 2

Jeydon's POV

It was ten in the morning, and I just woke up. I quickly got up, and started getting ready. Shower, brushing of teeth...the usual. I grabbed a dark blue button down and wore over a plain white shirt. I rolled up the sleeves just to make it look better. Some simple jeans, and some sneakers, I was all ready to go.

To be perfectly honest, I was kind of excited to see Tori again. Even if I just saw her yesterday. Wow, I sounded pathetic. We aren’t together or anything. Heck, I don’t even think she’s interested in me at the slightest.

Not to sound cocky or anything, but I’m pretty aware that girls find me hot and attractive. Can’t blame them, I know I’ve got looks, and I was pretty active too, so that helps in maintaining a good body. Girls practically throw themselves at me, but I was raised better than to take advantage of a girl. I know that makes me sound like a sissy, but that was just the way I was brought up. Deal with it.

So the one girl that I actually like, is also the one girl who isn’t attracted to me. That worked out well.

I grabbed the things I usually bring with me, like keys, phone, wallet...yeah, that’s about it, and headed downstairs. I entered our dining hall and was greeted by my parents. I grew up living a pretty good life. We were a wealthy family. With dad being a doctor and mom having a ‘family’ business (her side of the family, that is), I get what I want, within reason, of course, and I am an only child so I was never lacking of my parents’ attention. I was actually surprised the first time I went to Tori’s house, and I saw we had pretty much the same life style. Cool.

“Morning, son,” dad greeted me.

“Morning, dad. Morning, mom,” I greeted them with a smile. I sat down in my seat, and started digging in. Man, I was hungry.

“You going somewhere, Jeydon?” my mom asked.

“Yeah, I’m going to Tori’s house for our project,” I said in between bites. My parents nodded telling me they understood what I said.

“Do you like her?” my mom suddenly asked.

“What makes you say that?” I scrunched up my eyebrows. Was I that obvious?

“Oh, nothing...maybe because you smiled when you said her name?” she more of said than asked.

“No, I didn’t?” I raised my eyebrows at her. I didn’t, did I?

“You didn’t, I just felt it,” she smiled. I raised my eyes at her, and she just shrugged. “I’m your mom, I just know things.” I continued to stare at her as if she had grown another head, but she just resumed her eating. I soon followed, and we just ate in silence.

After lunch, I said goodbye to my parents, and hopped in my car. I faintly remembered Tori’s reaction to my car. At least, she’s interested in my car. We were supposed to be there at around 1 pm. It was already quarter to one. I started driving, and I got to her place in no time. I parked by the curb and started heading towards her house.

From the corner of my eye, I saw some people. When I got a closer look, I saw it was Zane and Vincent. Guess we all arrived at around the same time.

Zane seemed very nice and friendly. Vincent, on the other hand, hates me, to put it lightly. It didn’t take a genius to figure that out. Why he hated me, I had absolutely no clue.
