POV: Kate
Catie had been overly iffy with going to the diner. Do I know why? No, of course not because she doesn't tell me these things for some reason. All she says is 'I just have a bad feeling' and then walks away because she is literally the worlds most stubborn person in the world.
"Catie, it's time to get ready. You have ten minutes before we leave." I warned Catie for the tenth time in the past half hour.
"I don't want to go." She groaned and pulled the blankets over her head.
"I don't care. You are going so get up. Now." I stood there with my hands on my hips.
She growled before swinging her feet around to the side of the bed.
"I know you didn't just growl at me." My eyebrows raised and the fear in her eyes showed more than ever.
"Nope. I didn't growl at all.... I uhh... had to clear my throat because I just woke up. Yeah, just woke up." Catie nervously stuttered out and scratched the back of her neck.
"That's what I thought." I nodded and then walked back into the bathroom so I could brush my teeth.
She muttered something as she slid a plain white shirt.
"What was that?" I smirked and she froze.
"N-nothing." She turned around to me and smiled widely.
"I love you." I giggled.
"I love you too." She said back before falling onto the floor while trying to pull her black jeans on. "Man, here I am trying to wear something half decent and I fucking fall." Catie groaned.
"What the hell was that?!" Catie's dad yelled from downstairs.
"Catie fell while trying to put pants on!" I yelled back and she shot me a glare.
"I'm never going to hear the end of this." She chuckled and her parents were laughing their asses off.
"Not my fault you're weird."
"I am not weird. I am different."
"Right."
She threw her leather jacket on before brushing her teeth beside me.
"I'll meet you downstairs because you're slow." I kissed her cheek before leaving her room.
"I am not slow! I'm just lazy!" She yelled back.

"I have a bad feeling about going here." Catie mumbled to me as she held my hand.
"I know, but everything is going to be alright because one, you'll kick ass if something goes down as well as your dad, and two, it's public." I looked up at her with a smile as we waited for a table.
She was looking around like a hawk looking for its next meal. Her eyes never met her mom's, her dad's, or mine. Catie watched everyone's every single movement and would snap her head around when someone would walk in the restaurant and study them for a second.
"Your table is right this way." The waitress said with a smile and I tried to follow in front of Catie, but she squeezed my hand and made me walk beside her.
She knows something is up because she only pulls this card when something is.
Once again, I looked up at her and she was still looking around.
"Catie, look at me." I whispered as we walked.
Catie glanced at me before continuing to look around.
