POV: Catie
"Ma'am she isn't mentally stable enough to interact with someone so... emotionally unbalanced." The nurse tried to stop me, but I could tell she was far too scared to physically stop me.
"She needs me, so back off." I growled and the nurse quickly ran off.
I slowed my strides when I got to her room, they gave her a single bed room so she can psychiatrically stabilize.
I quietly closed the door behind me, but the slight click gained Kate's attention.
"C-catie?" Kate whispered.
"Yeah, it's me. I just thought I'd sit with you for a bit." I gave her a sad smile. I can't even fake a smile.
"Andy was telling me about you, and showing me pictures of us. I'm sorry I don't remember." She broke eye contact and I bit the inside of my cheek.
"Don't worry about that right now. Focus on you." I spoke as I pulled a chair to her bedside, but not too close to keep her comfortable.
"I remember bits and pieces here and there. I remember you taking me back to your house when I called you that night." Kate looked me in the eyes again, but I leaned my elbows on my knees and looked at the tile floor. "Come closer." Kate whispered.
I took a deep breath before scooting the chair till my knees hit the bed pole. My body jolted when I felt fingers run through my hair.
"I do remember loving to do this. Your hair is so soft and long that I can run my fingers through your hair for hours."
I eventually relaxed my tensed figure and leaned into her touch. I missed her touch more than I thought.
"Can you stay tonight?"
A smile replaced my saddened expression at her request. "Of course." I looked up at her and she brushed a strand of hair behind my ear that was in front of my face.
"Can you lay beside me?" She bit her bottom lip like she always does when she is nervous to ask a question.
I nodded and stood to my feet.
She shifted herself over in the bed to give me room to lay beside her.
While I awkwardly sat there beside her since I want to hold her so badly that my hands are shaking, she leaned her head on my shoulder. The small amount of contact will have to do since it's as good as it will get for me.
"Catie, you can wrap your arms around me. I remember that your hands tremble when you had to resist making contact with me." Kate smiled and I let out a sigh of relief before pulling her to my chest with my arms wrapped securely around her waist.
I rested my head back on the pillow before closing my eyes. I haven't slept in three days.
"Goodnight Catie." Kate gave my neck a quick kiss which made me squeeze my eyes shut in attempt to resist the urge to kiss her.
"Night."

Do you know when you are asleep and the dream feels so real that it's not even fair if it's a good dream? It's like a tease.
Kate kissed me in the dream, but not in real life. It's brutal.
"Catie, wake up." Kate whispered.
This dream really needs to stop. I kept my eyes closed, because it'll be a nightmare when I wake up.
"Catie, I remember. Wake up." Kate moved around in the bed beside me till I felt cold water slash on my face.
