Girls are so much better than boys.
Piper was having so much more fun without the boys than with. It was so relaxed and she felt more at home with them.
"...And I was just stuck on that island for years and years. Put in a paradise for a prison like a sick joke." Calypso concluded.
Hazel, Piper and Annabeth looked at Calypso sympathetically.
"But now I've found a home with Leo and you girls." Calypso smiled, holding up her glass of wine. "Yamas?"
"Yamas!" The girls replied, clanking their drinks together. It wasn't strong wine, probably 5% alcohol, so they were permitted. Even Hazel.
"Let's play Truths," Calypso suggested, "where I'll get some questions from my magic device and we all have to answer the questions truthfully."
"Magic device?" Hazel enquired.
"This thing!" Calypso showed the girls in awe. A black item was on her wrists. With a click, a holographic iPhone appeared on her palm.
"Coooool." The girls cooed, crowding around her hand.
Piper felt a pang of jealously. This beauty was with the guy who was a mechanic level to Hephaestus.
But she has Jason.
"Calypso."
"Hm?" She half-heartily responded.
"Questions."
"Oh yeah."
After a few taps here and there, she got to the website. She laughed out loud.
"These questions are absolutely awful." Calypso giggled.
Hazel and Piper looked at each other, worried out of their minds.
Annabeth cleared her throat. "Let's start mildly."
"Alright," Calypso squinted, as if she could not read the question, "I don't get the new slang. 'What's the most number of times you've ever master... master..."
"Skip!" Annabeth and Piper exclaimed worryingly. Hazel looked at Piper with confusion but dropped it.
"Why don't we ask questions each and everyone, including the person who asked, answers?" Piper asked, hoping it was safer.
Everyone agreed.
"I'll start." Piper said. She thought to herself, what would make this chat nice and deep but not expose me too much?
"What would you be doing right now if you were human?" Piper asked, remembering to say humans instead of demigods to include Calypso.
"Probably aiming to get to Harvard like my dad, study architecture, hopefully become an architect." Annabeth shrugged. "It's still my dream today."
"I wouldn't be alive." Hazel stated rather bluntly, causing the others to turn to her. "I'd probably not have died and maybe married to Sammy." Hazel sighed wistfully.
Did she regret being with Frank?
"But I'm much happier with Frank." She reassured everyone.
Then why was there a ping of sadness in her voice?
"Um," Calypso began, ignoring the elephant in the room, "I wouldn't be alive, like Hazel. I was a goddess so I don't really know life being partly human."
