Calypso was estatic that Leo was okay again, of course, but she was confused why he never had time for her.
She could never spend time with him. There was never a moment where he and Annabeth would not dissappear in Bunker 9 together. It may have sounded dodgy, but Calypso knew that Leo and Annabeth wasn't hooking up there.
Annabeth loved Percy way too much for that, and Leo always expressed how he'd never cheat 'cos no one can meet your expectation. It's like selling a Ferrari for a Honda.'
Calypso didn't know what on earth any of those things were so Leo changed it to 'going from my paellas to Piper's cookies.'
Newsflash - Piper was poor at baking.
Nevertheless, she felt a little bit lonely. She was stuck in the overcrowded, tacky Hermes cabin, where she spoke to no one but Cecil a bit and Travis for Katie. When she wasn't training or teaching, (Chiron promoted her to teaching wrestling) she spent time with Annabeth and Piper. She loved the girls, but she felt a bit left out as they had been through so much together. They tried, and Calypso didn't dislike them for that, but she felt like it was Annabeth and Piper. And Calypso.
Cecil was constantly with Will, Nico and someone else she didn't know, Percy was always busy, either training, sneaking off with Annabeth or teaching basically every class. But Calypso was fine, as she made a new, solid friend.
Katie Gardner.
Their friendship first formed about their love of gardening, but they soon became very close and spoke about nearly everything. Sometimes, they'd go on Demeter's roof and just talk all night. The camp soon realised that they were best friends and they were known as the duo.
After finishing archery (which Calypso soon found out she was disgraceful at), they had lunch. She knew exactly where their meeting place was.
Calypso quickly checked to see if Leo wanted to spend time together, but Leo gave her the same response.
"I love you, sweetie, but I'm busy."
And Leo and Annabeth would walk, deep in conversation.
That didn't matter. Calypso jogged to the massive tree and climbed up to see the short demigod's blonde hair past her shoulders, sitting on the branch and was holding one of the tree's leaves.
"What are you-"
"Wait." She responded. The brown, dead leaf was turning green slowly, until it was as green and healthy as the other leaves in the tree.
"Okay, cool, what's up, Cal?" Katie grinned, facing Calypso.
They had their special spot on the tree's thick branches. Katie had the higher one, which had a slight dent to sit on, and Calypso had one that was lower, which dent was larger and because, according to Katie, Calypso's 'butt was bigger', she needed a larger surface area to sit on.
"Have the Stolls picked your lock on your shop again?" Ask Calypso, smiling.
Katie loved to rant about the Stoll brothers. But, Calypso had a slight feeling that Katie liked Travis Stoll. Calypso had no problem with them, except the time that Connor took all of Calypso's clothes, leaving only an oversized black top that had 'fearless' plastered on it and blue and grey jogging bottoms. Let's just say that Calypso may or may not had left Connor with a bleeding nose. But, they were okay now, especially since she had no pranks played on her since then.
