"I must go, Hazel. The two camps lie upon my shoulders. Letting them down will be a crime upon my pride, father and to Romans and Greeks."
"No, Jason. You just want to go to camp because of your friends, girlfriend and sister." Hazel told him.
All day, through their sword training and reflex classes, (which caused Hazel to have an apple thrown at her face and resulted into a black eye), Jason had been saying how much he wanted to go to see camp.
"It'll be fun!" Jason insisted. "You can meet your best friend, Leo-"
"He's not my best friend."
"Understandable. Okay, your best friend Piper-"
"Not my best friend."
"Jeez, woman, lonely much"
They quarrelled all lunch. Jason glared at the short demigod, his striking blue eyes and fearing scar made Hazel slightly flinch, before she recalled that they were only having a slight argument.
"If you don't have best friends, you're not lonely. You just know how to select your friends better."
Jason bit into his apple, and nodded his head in agreement. Him and Hazel became very close, mostly because they had many classes together and hung out in their free time. When Frank and Reyna could, they would join them as well.
It took a while for Hazel to fully trust Jason. He was too perfect, obedient and loyal, serious and had such a poker face, so it was hard to read. However, it seemed that he had changed. He was much more bubbly, smily and relaxed, like a calm version of Leo. Only then could she really talk and trust in Jason. And Hazel didn't trust easily.
"Good mentality. If I followed that, I wouldn't have been stuck with Leo as a best friend."
"True." Hazel grinned.
Reyna and Frank walked up to the two demigods and waved. Hazel still wasn't used to her boyfriend as a Praetor. Like Mars, he was powerful and strong, but did not have that ruthless and bloodthirsty gleam in his eyes. Instead, he had a dreamy, sweet look, contrasting greatly with his WWE wrestler physique.
"Jason, the way you're eating that apple is dumb." Reyna sweetly told Jason. He placed the apple on the plate.
"Hi, guys." Hazel smiled brightly. "I'd just like to ask for you guys permission."
"I've already threatened to feed Frank to my dogs if he ever hurt you, no need." Reyna assured Hazel. Frank looked at Hazel for help and in return, she shrugged to not laugh.
"No, no, but thanks, Reyna. Actually, me and Jason want to go to Camp Half-Blood, if that's okay with you."
Jason's face lit up, obviously etstatic for Hazel to join him.
"In fact, we can all visit the Greek camp." Reyna suggested, much to Hazel's surprise.
"Seriously?" Frank asked, eyes wide open. "But what about our praetor stuff?"
"First, do not regard being Praetor of the Twelfth Legion 'praetor stuff', and secondly, we're allowed to leave camp, you know. How else did me and Hazel help Annabeth and Piper restore the two camps?"
She turned around and saw Dakota and Michael walking past.
"You two!"
"Y-yes, ma'am?" They stuttered, slightly bending down for the praetor.
"Us two are going to see Camp Half-Blood for three days. You are in charge. If anything goes wrong, I will tear you up with my bare hands. Is that clear?"
"Y-yes ma'am." They repeated, Dakota's Kool-Aid shaking in his hand.
"Perfect. Announce that to camp now. Good bye, boys."
Frank pulled up Hazel from her seat and Reyna did the same with Jason, much less gentle than Frank did and dragged his by his ear than his hand.
"Ow!" Jason complained. "Why can't we be more like Hazel and Frank?"
"Because you are much lower than me, peasant." She responded. She turned to Hazel, who was standing closely with Frank. She was very happy. Not only could she see her girls and brother again, she could spend time with Frank. He was always busy and tried to make it up to her by writing her little notes and delivering it to her as a dove. He was so adorable.
"Hazel, any idea on transportation?"
"What about what you did with Nico? I'll shadow-travel us all, and you give me some strength. I mean, if that's okay with you."
They walked out of camp, Reyna and Jason ahead, conversing, and Hazel and Frank behind. Hazel tried to go on her tiptoes to read Frank's shoulders, and to her dissapointment, she couldn't. Frank looked down and noticed.
"You're so cute, Hazel." He chuckled. Hazel frowned.
"Excuse me, I'm a daughter of the big three. I'm highly intimidating." She tried to make a scary face, but she just looked like a 5 year old who ate a sour sweet. Frank smiled and bent down to kiss her on the cheek.
"Still cute."
Hazel was totally content with that.
They went out of camp and all held hands, Reyna and Hazel in the middle.
"Guys, I don't know how you'll be affected with the shadow travel, but..."
"Firm it." Reyna concluded for Hazel. She gripped Hazel tightly and Hazel felt like she could fight anyone. She felt quicker than Leo, braver than Piper, smarter than Annabeth, stronger than Calypso, more powerful than her half-brother. Her lack of confidence that she could carry four people to Camp Half-Blood reduced significantly, and she thought of being there, her cabin that she would share in her body. Soon enough, darkness ingulfed her, and she felt foreign, as if she wasn't meant to be there. She had to fight her way out of the darkness, and it was very draining in terms of her energy. Exhausted was an understatement. Eventually, she arrived at Camp Half-Blood. She could've collapsed on the floor from exhaustion and saw the colour drain from her boyfriend's face, but something more serious was happening.
The camp was in chaos. A large Hispanic teen that looked like Leo was cowering in fear from the intimidating punk girl, despite her being shorter than him. The girl had a silver circlet and glowed a slight moon aura. Hazel instantly thought of Khione, cold but definitely beautiful. Her electric blue eyes glared into the boy's brown ones. Annabeth was grabbing onto her right arm whilst her left arm gripped on a brown bag. Other campers crowded round the chaotic scene, some murmuring, some cowering from the girl and others glaring spitefully at the tall boy.
"Stupid son of Hermes! How can you steal our moonwater, Charles Rodriguez?!" Thalia screamed in his face.
