"Dan. She's gone again."

"What the actual fuck."

Serene looked around the large rocks before her, the cat ears on top of her ears taking in the many sounds of the birds chittering and the waterfall falling from the high boulders of rocks to the small rock pool.

She looked the opposite side of the waterfall and she saw large trees covered with many types of fruits and budding and blooming flowers.

Laney wasn't here.

Makes sense.

Serene sighed. This wasn't the first time she did this, not showing up to practice. This was the fourth occurrence.

Ever since the increase of monsters and crime, there wasn't really much time to lose. Even the large amount of licensed hunters that were summoned couldn't handle the increase of both things.

And the report of what Kalaya had witnessed yesterday was a call to more practices.

"I can't believe it." Dan groaned as he rested his hands on his twin handguns on his hips. "This girl.. Does she even.. My god I hate everything!"

"Shut up Dan. I'm trying to think." Serene spat as she tried to find out where Laney would be hiding.

Serene pictured the girl. Laney had light pink hair that was obviously dyed, pale blue eyes, light skin, tall and was a little big in size, but not as much.

Then Serene pictured where Laney was.

After a few seconds, she found out where she was.

"I found her." She stated, her cat tail flickering. "Let's go."

Laney slid open the window door.

The place revealed a open field with a small rectangle area surrounded by a metal fence. Inside the fence was Kat and a tall man. Outside the fence was a young woman with large bunny ears on her head.

Kat held out two twin blades. The blades were only the color of white and yellow and it shone brightly against the high sun. The blades were also beautifully made with the most interesting designs, the bottom part of the two blades shaped as a wing.

Laney stared at Kat and the man. The man was large and tall and looked menacing. Kat showed no emotions whatsoever.

And just like that, they were fighting.

With such fast acrobatic movement, Laney couldn't keep her eyes focused for long. Her pink ocelot ears perked up and her tail was standing up.

The man usually lunged at Kat with his large naginata sword, as well as using his unusual quick speed. Sometimes Kat would use the wrong footing from dodging the attacks, but she would recover quick.

As the man swung his naginata, Kat swung her two blades, criss-crossed, and the blades collided with a loud CLANG!

The two stood there, blades in hands and forces even.

Kat gritted her teeth as she tried to dominate and imbalance the man's power. But the man didn't break a sweat. He looked at her, eyes narrowed and brows burrowed in concentration.

The man slowly leaned further towards her, the naginata sword making a screeching sound against Kat's twin swords. Kat grunted as she bended back, maintaining her footing and wincing from the sound made by the swords.

Her eyes darted around, trying to find alternate ways to escape or attack. Her eyes landed to her right, where there was open space.

Kat locked eyes with the man then made a tiny deep breath.
