CHAPTER 22

Ryner's POV

It's really getting dark now yet Mauricy is still not here. After that scene, I've never seen her in school. She didn't even attended our last subject.

I knew Mauricy, a lot. I knew she can't do that thing, but just by watching her how she grabs Krizelle's hair, I don't know why she did that. Krizelle just got scratches on her face. She even cried because of what Mauricy did.

Hindi ko alam kung bakit niya ginawa yun. Girls are having issues too pero sana hindi na umabot sa ganun.

I was leaning on the couch when I heard the door opens. I knew it was Mauricy, and yes, I was right.

"Bakit ngayon ka lang?" I asked with my cold voice, not looking at her. I'm still mad at her but she just walked to the kitchen like she didn't hear me asking. I heave a sigh before looking at her.

"Mauricy, I'm asking you!" My voice raised.

She slammed the ref's door before looking at me. Her eyes are so plain, no emotions can be seen at all.

"Why are you acting like you care when you don't even care at all?" She asked with plain emotions. Everything on her was plain but a crystal clear water suddenly falls on her eyes and she didn't bother to wipe it away.

Para akong nabuhusan ng malamig na tubig. My voice earlier was cold but her voice was a bit colder.

"Mauricy." I uttered her name.

"I'm tired. I just want to have some rest." She added before heading to the stairs up to her room.

My eyes narrowed when I saw blood stains on her clothes and bruises on her elbows. I stood up and followed her.

"Where did you get that bruises?" I asked as I grab her arm to face me.

"I just... lost control of my body when I'm on the stairs heading to our room." She stuttered and I can sense a lie on her voice.

"Mauricy, tell me where did you got that!" Her body stiffened and her hands became shaky.

"Hindi mo alam kasi wala ka namang pakialam sa akin! Hindi ka nga nag-aalala sa akin e!" Her voice broke and her eyes become soft and tears are about to flow again.

"Damn it Mauricy! I care for you!" I shouted back but she fakes a laugh.
