Third Person's POV
Mabilis na isinakay nina Ryner at AJ si Jecca sa kotse at pinasibad iyon patungong hospital. Sinalubong sila ng mga nurses at kaagad itong binuhat pahiga sa stretcher. Itinakbo nila sa emergency room si Jecca at hindi na sila pinayagang makapasok doon.
Naupo ang dalawa sa bleachers sa harap mismo ng E.R. Naroon ang pag-aalala nila para sa kalagayan ng dalaga. Makailang beses na napabuga ng malalim na hininga si AJ habang si Ryner nama'y makailang ulit na napamura dala na rin ng sobrang pag-aalala.
They really don't know what to do.
AJ already called Jecca's parents. They've been waiting outside the E.R. for almost one hour and yet the doctor is still inside. They don't fucking know what's going on inside the E.R. They were secretly praying for Jecca's condition. They were hoping that she'll be fine.
Mabilis na tumayo ang dalawa nang bumukas ang emergency room at lumabas ang doctor.
"Parents of the patient?" Agad na tanong ng doctor sa kanila.
"We are the parents. What happened to our daughter?" Napalingon sina Ryner at AJ sa likuran nila at naroon nga ang parents ni Jecca na kararating lamang at sa boses pa lang ay halatang nag-aalala sila.
"I will be honest with you Mr. and Mrs. Tuazon about your daughter's condition, the tumor has already spread to the lymph nodes in the center of her chest. At her stage, the affected lymph nodes are restricted to the same side of her body. About 30% of patients diagnosed with lung cancer at Stage III, the five-year survival rate for Stage IIIA lung cancer varies widely, and is about 23% on average. For Stage IIIB lung cancer, the survival rate is about 10%." Mahabang paliwanag ng doctor.
"What do you mean Doc?" Jecca's mother asked and her hands were trembling.
"Your daughter's condition is at Stage IIIB and as I told you, Stage IIIB lung cancer has only 10% chance of survival rate. We need to do surgery as soon as possible or else, your daughter will—"
"N-no. That w-won't happen Doc. If she n-needs to undergo s-surgery, then we will. Just let my d-daughter live please. A-ayoko siyang mawala sa amin." Umiiyak na sagot ng ginang. Humahangos ito ng iyak habang yakap-yakap siya ng kanyang asawa.
