Three Weeks Later

"COFFEE?" JASON ASKED from the kitchen as Madison scraped her dark brown hair up into a ponytail in the bathroom of his apartment.

"Is that even worth questioning?" Madison responded, glancing at her reflection in the bathroom mirror, "Coffee? Yes, always."

Jason had moved back to Rosewood, but considering his old house was currently occupied by Maya St. Germain and her mom, he had to make other arrangements. He was living in a small block of apartments.

It had been three weeks since she or any of the girls had heard from A. Two weeks since Madison's dad moved back out of her house. She had avoided him for most of that time, and they never spoke about that day on the doorstep or anything else. And she'd spent most of those three weeks with Jason or Hanna.

"Just thought I'd ask." Jason replied, "I know how indecisive you are."

Madison playfully rolled her eyes to herself as she wrapped the hairtye around her hair. She grabbed her mascara from the sink surface and began to apply it. The only sounds in the apartment were the sound of Jason pouring coffee and the annoying dripping tap infront of Madison.

"Mads..." Jason's voice suddenly broke the silence.

"Yeah?" She called back.

"Why are there like fifty paper clip things in the kitchen?" He asked, confused as to what the small metal contraptions were.

Madison finished applying the mascara before heading out of the bathroom and into the open apartment. There was a kingsize bed in the corner, the wide living room and the attached kitchen that was by the front door.

The brunette headed towards the kitchen and picked up one of the slide, "They're hair pins. And there's three, not fifty."

"I swear it's like you live here more than I do." Jason joked before letting out a soft chuckle.

"Ha ha." Madison's eyes narrowed at him as she smiled. She grabbed one of the mugs off the surface and took a sip of the dark coffee. Her eyes wandered towards the wall clock. Madison placed the mug back down, groaning, "I'm gonna be late for school."

Madison grabbed her house keys and bag from the surface before moving to Jason. She pressed a gentle kiss to his lips, "Bye."
