MADISON AWOKE ALONE. She grumbled as her hands rubbed against her sleepy eyes. The brunette turned in her sleeping bag to see Caleb wasn't beside her. She pushed herself up, accidentally knocking Caleb's bag over.

A few things fell out one of the pockets. Madison climbed out of her sleeping bag and moved towards it. She began to pick up a chapstick and a phone charger, placing them back in the pocket.

The last thing was in pink tissue paper. Madison glanced towards the tent opening before picking the item up. Her curiosity got the better of her and she cautiously opened it. Inside was a beautiful jewelled owl.

Madison's eyes widened a little in surprise. Maybe it was a gift for her? She smiled to herself as she grabbed her phone. She quickly took a picture before wrapping it back up and placing it where it once was.

The brunette quickly fixed her bedhead and grabbed her jacket before making her way out of the tent. Caleb was sat on the log they were on last night. He was cradling a tin cup of coffee. A smile spread on his face when he saw Madison, "Morning."

"Good morning." She responded, putting on her jacket. She wrapped it around her, shivvering a little at the cold morning air, "It's freezing."

Caleb exhaled a chuckle, "Overexaggeration."

Madison narrowed her eyes at Caleb as she walked towards him, "You have hot coffee, not a fair debate at all."

"You want some?" He offered.

"Sure." Madison warmly grinned as she took a seat beside him on the log. Caleb handed her an empty cup before picking up the warm flask of coffee.

She watched the liquid pour into her cup in silence. Caleb's eyes wandered to the brunettes face, noticing her expression was the same as last night, "You okay?"

Madison let out a long breath as she shrugged, "I guess."

It fell silent again as Caleb screwed the lid back on the flask. He cleared his throat before glancing to her, "Last night, when you were arguing with your mom, you said something about a biological father?"

"It's complicated, Caleb, and my mom won't tell me anything so..." She sighed, "I have no idea."

"I never met my father." Caleb told her. Madison seemed surprised by the fact Caleb had just told her something so personal.
