Reunited

Chapter 3

5 years later

BEA

I spend my last day up on the hills alone, remembering all the good times I have with Tobias up here. It has been 5 years since Tobias left me. Now I'm leaving this wonderful place to live the city life in the USA in some city called Chicago.

I walk down the hills, back towards the village. My cheeks are red and they sting from crying. I was 11, now I'm 16 and I still haven't gotten over Toby.

I sigh of relief when we finally land in Chicago. I find flying very daunting. We collect our bags and go to find the hire car we are hiring until we buy a new one.

It's really weird because you have to drive on the other side of the road to England.

We pull into a drive of an enormous modern house.

"Welcome to your new home, Beatrice and Caleb," our father says. Wow, this house looks amazing from the outside, I wonder what the inside looks like.

My parents are pretty rich. My mother is a professional interior designer and my dad is a solicitor. He has just finished a course in American law, that's why we moved here.

I grab my bags and we head inside. I was shocked, in a good way; The interior was modern, but unique. This is probably heaven for my mum.

"Beatrice, I'll show you your room so you can unpack, then you can explore the house." My dad leads me up two flights of stairs and to my left is my new bedroom.

I walk inside and I'm amazed. The walls were washed with white paint and everything else was ether black or dark purple, my two favourite colours. Well, black isn't really a colour, it's more of a shade.

Even though it is the summer holidays, I still need to go to the new school to do a test. The test is to find out which 'faction' of the school I will fit into. Each faction have a different way of teaching and tend to do different classes.

The Abnegation are selfless. They do really boring subjects and are always volunteering to do charity work.

The Candor are the truthful. They tend to do stuff like Ethics as they are always debating.

The Amity are the kind. They do the more creative subjects like art, music and drama.

The Erudite are the clever. They do the most hard subjects like advanced maths and extended science.

The Dauntless are the brave. They do stuff like Physical education because they are normally the fittest.

I get Dauntless as my result and Caleb gets Erudite. For my subjects I choose Physical Education (because I am Dauntless), Music and Computer Studies. We also have to do the normal old boring maths, English, science and PSHE.

TOBIAS

We are all around at Zeke's and Uriah's house. It's the last day of the summer holidays. Christina is trying to find Bea on Facebook, but is having no luck. I miss her so much. I want to find her so badly, but she was 11 when I last saw her and probably doesn't feel the same way I do.

It's my last year at High School. My last year of living with my abusive so-called father. I want to go back to England and find her. Zeke has agreed to come with me.

"Man I can't wait until the school year is over. All the girls from England are HOT!" Zeke says. All he ever really thinks about is girls.

"So, Bea was just your best friend, nothing else?" Christina asks for the billionth time. Over the past five years I haven't stopped talking about her and Christina gets quite interested. I think they would be good friends if they ever met.
