Nikki's POV
I glanced out side the window of my mom's car and took in the scene. There lay East High, on the other side of the road, in all its glory.
It was gonna be my first day here, and I didn't wanna mess it up. Being in West High for the past five years, I had forgotten what it was like, being the new kid. But here I was again, back to square one. In a way, that would be good, since people wouldn't judge me since I was new. I hadn't made my impression yet, it was a fresh start.
Plus, since East High was a new school, there wouldn't be much competition here.
'Nikki ! ', a voice said, jerking me out of my thoughts. Realizing it was my mom, I replied back, 'Yeah ?'. 'We're here sweetie'.
'What ? Oh okay', I said getting out of the cute Volkswagon Beetle my mom owned.
'Do you want me to come with you ?' my mom volunteered.
'No thanks, I ll be fine' I replied back. My mom is sweet, but she can be pretty embarrassing at times, and I didn't wanna take a risk today,
I shut the door of the car and walked towards the entrance of what would be my second home for the next few years.
