I wake up to the usual cold, damp, and most of all lonely cell. I have been in this hell hole ever since I was six years old for a crime that was not even my fault. I remind myself of this every single day...it wasn't my fault.

My mother had been stealing food rations to please my alcoholic father. When he came back from being a guard during the day, he would drink beer to "relax" as he would call it, which we all knew was the sad excuse to get drunk. I hated him for this, even at such a young age I recognized the foolishness of my father and the hurt he caused my mother. Every day he would come back to our small confined living space and expect a whole bunch of food to be there for him when he arrived. Of course he wasn't provided this with the small amount of rations we would get, so he would threaten mom to get more or he would kill her. I don't believe he meant it but who knew at that point. Out of fear for her life, my mother stole rations until one day she was caught and floated. I was only six and was now growing up without a  mother. When my father learned of this the addiction and need for alcohol increased and he would beat me to release his anger. I tried to escape but let's face it, there was nowhere to go.

Now after a little while I soon discovered that my father had now been stealing rations and storing them up in our house, but what he wasn't aware of was that there was an inspection in our home and when the guard came in and found the abundant amount of food, I was the only one there to take the blame, my father had been out on his daily guard rounds. I tried screaming and telling them I didn't do it, but nobody would listen. And that is how I ended up, spending six years in the most boring place in my entire life.
---------------------------------------------------------

I was sitting on my uncomfortable cot when two guards came in.

"Prisoner 768 against the wall!" One of them shouted at me as he aggressively grabbed my arm and slammed me against the wall.

I didn't think much of this at first because I assumed it was some sort of inspection, that is until I felt a sharp pain in my right wrist.

"Ow what are you doing!?" I yelled struggling to get out of his grip which was impossible. I tried kicking  backwards with the goal to hit him in a place where it hurt, but of course I failed. Then I felt a shocking feeling on my neck and everything went black.

I woke up in a seat with a red seat belt around my waist and a silver wristband permanently dug into my skin.

I looked to my left and there was a blonde hair girl sitting there.

"Do you know what's happening?" I asked her, fear trembling in my voice.

"Yeah didn't you know? They are sending us to the ground." She responded. At this moment I didn't know to feel scared that we might die or to feel excited that we would finally be free.

The chancellors voice interrupted my thoughts and started talking about earth I guess, I don't really know since I wasn't paying attention to him. I doubt anyone was, considering nobody liked the guy. Most of us probably blamed him for floating the people we love. I mean, I did hear someone say 'your father's a dick wells!'

"Hey Clarke how you doing?" A dark haired boy said out of his seat and just floating in front of us.

Wow that looked fun. I went to undo my seatbealt but Clarke grabbed my arm.

"Keep it on, you'll get hurt. And Finn get in your seat your setting a bad example!" She shouted above the rumbling of the spaceship we were on.

I listened to her because she seemed to know what she was talking about, but still it was a major buzzkill. Soon another boy followed in Finn's footsteps and did the same exact thing.

They seemed to be having a lot of fun and I was so tempted to do the same but I didn't feel like risking it. Just as I was thinking that, the ship we were on must have landed because the whole room shook tremendously and the two floating boys dropped to the ground and one even flew into a pole. Ouch.

Everyone immediately unbuckled their seatbelts and started cheering and talking. I just stood there not knowing what to do. I couldn't see above the crowd because of how short I was compared to all of the others and I was starting to feel claustrophobic so I stood up on my seat.

Then I saw a guy go over to pull the lever to open the door but Clarke stopped him.

"Wait! The air could be toxic!" She shouted at him.

"If the air is toxic then we're all dead anyway" the guy responded and he was about to pull it again when another voice interrupted.

"Bellamy?" A girl with long, dark hair asked as she hesitantly approached him.

"Octavia. My god look how big you are!" He said and then they hugged, but Octavia pulled away and looked at what he was wearing.

"What are you wearing a guards uniform?" She asked in disgust.

"Borrowed it to get on the dropship, somebodys got to keep an eye on you." He responded.

Turned out they were brother and sister. I never had a sibling and that's probably for the best, they would have ended up just like I did anyway.

A little while of talking later the lever was finally pulled by Octavia and the bright light shined in. Octavia was the first to go down the ramp with Bellamy standing behind her.

Everyone took tiny steps foward but stayed back just in case.

"We're back bitches!" I heard Octavia yell which made a huge smile spread across my face. Finally we were home, our real home.
