Chapter 3: In Love With a Mutant

We made it up there to see the city of New York. The familiar sounds of the city greeted my ears as well as the sound of weapons clashing. I looked to see four mutant turtles fighting off Shredder, Fishface, and Rahzar. We have learned about Shredder and the mutants that work for him, but we weren't told about mutants fighting against him.

But the only mutant who caught my eye was one of the turtles who wore a red mask and wielded sais. I couldn't move my eyes from him as he fought, as if they were glued there. Sweat dripped from his muscles, making them glisten. His emerald eyes sparked with fury as he fought. A smile full of love formed on my face.

"What are you looking at?" Shelly asked, making me snap out of my daydream.

"N-Nothing," I answered quickly.

"You were checking out that ninja turtle with the red mask, weren't you? You know you can't like mutants because they were created by Shredder," Shelly explained.

"Yeah, that's what I was told, but I don't believe it. Those turtle mutants are fighting against Shredder. Did you ever think of the possibility that there are mutants that don't work for Shredder?" I pointed out.

I swam closer to the docks to where I could see them but also stay out of sight.

"Raphael, go from above," the turtle in blue told the red-masked turtle.

"Go for it, Raph!" the orange and purple clad turtles shouted.

"You got it!" Raph said.

I smiled now that I knew what his name was. Then I noticed a storm coming in.
