Estelle
A sob racked my body as I pulled away from his body. Unnaturally still and pale. Leeciy was the first one in, holding me tightly. He pulled me from the hospital room. I kicked and screamed, then a tremor ran through the ground, shaking the paintings of landscapes from the walls. As I screamed and cried it got worse and worse, until it all just stopped. I had worn myself out from unlocking my Oura konnes and using it so vigorously.
September and I are going through August's belongings, in complete silence. A box on the floor for stuff were going to burn.
"Can we keep the shirts?" I ask, looking through them.
September shrugs. "I don't care." His stare was cold and frigid on the back of the closet.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
"My brother died, and I couldn't even help." He says, self loathing clear in his voice.
I shake my head. "It wasn't your fault."
September didn't answer, he was too busy trying not to cry.
"September--"
"I wish I'd never even come here, I wish I never met you or him! Then I wouldn't care if he died!" September yells.
"You don't mean tha--"
September stomps away, slamming the door on his way out.
I sigh. "Why do I have to survive?"
