Estelle
I wake up on Leeciy's lap.
Leeciy was laying on a slab of concrete, eyes screwed shut.
I sit up, looking around, it was the crack of dawn so there was few things I could see.
I did see Annaliesee getting out of the tent, combing through her hair with her fingers.
"It's probably time to leave." Leeciy says from behind me, yawning loudly.
I turn to look at him, grinning at him. "Well if we're leaving, you have to get up, lazy." I say, hitting his chest.
"You're the one that fell asleep first." He says, standing up, stretching out his arms
"Y'know, you could have woken me up." I say, looking up at him.
"Well, I didn't want to." He says, shrugging.
I furrow my brows in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"Well, when you sleep you just look at peace." He starts. "Sometimes when you're awake, you twist your face up like you're biting into a lemon. When you sleep, you look like a kitten."
"I look like a kitten?" I ask, quirking a brow.
He nods. "Oh yeah, oh and another reason is I fell asleep."
"On concrete." I add, smiling softly.
"Yes, on concrete." He nods, offering a hand to help me up.
I stretch my arms over my head. "Let's go help pack up."

We decided to get breakfast at a coffee shop in Idaho, since we were all starving.
I have to put up my hood, and Annaliesee orders for me.
Apparently, appearing in a video that was broadcasted nationwide, really puts your face out there.
Annaliesee orders. "A chocolate chip muffin, hot cocoa, croissant, and coffee with extra creamer." She says.
The teenage cashier sighs and turns to make it.
I stare at my dirt-caked combat boots, eyes half-closed.
"$14.95." The teen behind the counter says.
Annaliesee puts a crumpled hundred dollar bill on the counter.
Apparently, Nigel and Jackson found a safe full of money that had barely survived the bombing.
They couldn't carry the small safe themselves, but instead filled their bag and pockets with money.
The teen makesa whistling noise. "Wish I had some of these."
"It's an inheritance from my dad, I'd rather have him." Annaliesee says, in an awful southern accent.
"Sorry." The teen hands Annaliesee her change.
She grabs my arm and we sit in a booth.
It's not long till Nigel, Jackson, and Leeciy join us.
I haven't realized how much I miss coffee until it touches my tongue, yet at the same time, the French Vanilla creamer reminds me of August.
His hand slips into mine as the bittersweet warm liquid sloshes down my throat.
I eat my croissant, leaning my head back against the booth seat. "Are you tired?" Nigel asks.
I nod.
He turns to Leeciy. "How much did you two sleep last night?"
Leeciy chokes on his tea. "What do you mean?"
"You two snuck off. I'm just surprised she got over August so quick." Jackson says.
"We went on a walk." I say. "Nothing happened."
"Oh. I just assumed that you two--" Nigel says, trying to explain
"No." I cut him off abruptly.
"Well, how much did you sleep?" He asks.
"One or two hours." I say. "No more than two and a half."
"Same here." Leeciy says.
"Wait, you left the tent?" Annaliesee asks.
I nod. "A couple hours after you fell asleep."
"Oh." She says.
I sip my coffee.
"How's Cirus?" Jackson asks, trying to make conversation.
"She's good, likes to draw, I have about a million little doodles all over the hallways she's drawn." Leeciy says, smiling softly.
"And she's eight, yeah?" Jackson asks.
"She's seven." Leeciy says.
"I remember when Logan was that little." Nigel says. "Jane spoiled her rotten. She and Logan always played with those Power Puff Girls dolls, and they'd braid eachother's hair." Nigel grins widely at the memory.
"Why didn't you have another kid?" Annaliesee asks. "Not that Logan isn't great, just why not?"
"We tried." Nigel says. "If things would've worked out in our favor, Logan would have two twin brothers. Logan herself was a difficult pregnancy. She was an IVF and so were the twins."
"What happened to them?" Annaliesee asks, a hand cupped over her mouth.
"Miscarriage, well kinda. Jane gave birth to two corpses." Nigel says. "No one was as heartbroken as Logan. She even made two imaginary friends, Will and Finn, which were the names we picked out for them."
"I'm sorry." Annaliesee says softly. "I didn't know that it was so hard."
"It was, but I'm happy with the life I have now." Nigel says. "Anyway, Estelle came along and now I have two daughters."
I grin at him. "And I've got a pretty cool dad."
"You know it." Nigel says, doing some type of gang sign with his hands.
"Don't make me take it back." I joke.
The table laughs at my joke.
The entire coffee shop shushes us annoyedly.
We shut up, sitting in silence as we finish our breakfast.
"Let's leave." I say, gathering up my paper cup and wrapper.
"We can go." Nigel says.
The coffee shop goes silent as the TV blasts the national anthem, showing a picture of an Eagle.
The president fills the screen. A middle agd woman, dark hair with white roots. "Hello America, today we have done something revolutionary in this war against the Underground people. Today, the US Government did something extraordinary. We have terminated the Underground girl." She grins proudly.
Shocked gasps run throughout the café.
I quirk a brow. "I'm not dead."
"Well, maybe they've got it wrong." Leeciy shrugs.
"You may be wondering, how?" The president grins. "By our one and only sharpshooter."
A girl walks in, hair cut jaggedly at her shoulders. A devious smirk was on her face creating a soft dimple.
"Let me introduce to you, America, Neeva Jeels." The president grins.
Yeeva walks to the podium. "Hello America, I'm Neeva, and I killed Underground girl with my bare hands."
