Estelle
After a lot of negotiation, I got Leeciy to shower first. He was cold to the touch and shivering, yet he still wanted me to go.
Now, I sit against the cushion-y headboard of the bed, Leeciy's warm jacket wrapped tightly around me.
Leeciy's soft singing filtering through the door. He's singing some song that I've never heard and that he most likely learned from Logan, the poster child of strange music.
I'm all of a sudden warm, as if I were sitting by a fire.
Leeciy's singing ceases and all I could focus on was my sudden exhaustion and warmth.
The door to the bathroom opens and Leeciy sets his towel in the hamper next to the door.
"You have a lovely voice." I murmur, my eyelids fighting to close.
He looks shocked at my voice. "Are you okay?"
"'M tired." I say.
He lifts me off the bed. "Don't fall asleep."
"Okay." I nod lazily, looking up at his worried features.
He brings me to the bathroom and fiddles with the jacuzzi tub, before water starts rushing.
I move my hand to touch the water, which was heavenly.
"Can you, um, undress yourself?" Leeciy asks, setting me against the tub.
I nod, sitting up. "I'll be okay."
He smiles softly. "Alright, I'll be around." And with that, he leaves me to my bath.

I walk out of the bathroom, wrapped tightly in a robe.
Leeciy sits on the floor, a few peices of hotel stationary and the matches the hotel left in the top dresser drawer sat in front of him.
I grab a sweater and jeans, along with the other necessities, setting them on the bed
Leeciy seemed zoned, so I just went into the bathroom to change.
A moment later, he knocks on the door. "You okay in there?"
"I'm good." I say. "How about you?"
"I'm exquisite, I just found where the Pangaeans are so I'm basically a genius."
I pull the sweater over my head, then open the door. "Okay genius, how are we going to get there?"
"Well, under the cover of the night with rags tied around our faces." He explains, gesticulating wildly.
I nod. "I'm guessing we're going to stay with them, so maybe we should pack?"
"We should, but I don't want to." He says.
I grin. "Alright, maybe you can do something productive." I turn around and grab our cold, wet clothes. "Go put these in the dryer down the hall."
He takes the clothes. "You're lucky you have me."
"How so?" I ask, hand on my hip.
"You'd have wet clothes of you didn't."
I facepalm. "You're so weird."
"I prefer unique, but thanks." Leeciy says, walking out.
***
We creep through the alley, our backpacks on our backs and our suitcases in our arms.
"Can you tell me where we're going?" I whisper.
He shakes his head.
"Leeciy." I whisper.
He glances over at me. "We're almost there."
I nod.
Leeciy leads the way, his focus on the lamdmarks, and the ground.
Soon, he stops.
"Where are they?" I ask.
He crouches down and lifts the sewer cover from the ground, which is connected with a hinge.
"Leeciy, as bitchy as it sounds, I'm not getting in the sewer." I whisper.
"It's a manhole." Leeciy says. "Just in case someone decides to bomb Illinois."
"So, no sewage?" I ask.
He shakes his head. "It's stocked with canned goods though."
I nod. "How are we going to get down?"
"Watch and learn." He says, dropping down.
I follow, tucking and rolling, so the impact isn't so much on my knees.
Leeciy gasps behind me. "Estelle, don't move."
I look up from the ground, meeting eyes with a Norisk, its mouth open and dripping the acid.
Memories of my father rush through my head, causing me to slink back.
The Norisk jumps at the sudden movement, nipping right in front of my nose.
"Raheel!" A voice yells from the tunnel.
The Norisk, Raheel, turns.
Mareena walks from the dimly lit tunnel. "Leave them alone."
I stand, stumbling back into Leeciy.
Mareena looks up at us, her golden eyes blank. "Sorry about Raheel, he's my eyes."
"What do you mean?" Leeciy asks, protectively wrapping and arm around my shoulders.
"I'm blind." She says, bluntly. "I see through him."
"Oh." I say. "I thought he was attacking."
"He smells his kin on you, and he doesn't like his kin." Mareena drones.
I step away from Leeciy. "Where are the others?"
"Down the tunnel, let me show you." She turns on her heel and starts walking.

As soon as we get to the room, we both pull off our masks, setting them on a shelf.
The group gasps.
"Your highness?!" Rosette asks, standing.
Leeciy steps back, eyes wide. "Uh..."
"We thought you were dead, or worse." She says.
"Leeciy Galdea is dead." I answer. "This is Leeciy Propkin, I'm Estelle Ziveri."
"Oh, my mistake. I'm Roselette Citree, but you probably know that." She grins.
"We know your sister very well." Leeciy says.
"You know Annaliesee?" She asks. I nod. "She's back in Montana."
"How did you guys learn English?" Leeciy asks.
"Mareena is an only child." Pyol says. "Her Oura Konnes is absorbtion, she can absorb knowledge and emotions from people."
I glance over at her.
She sits against the wall stoically, her lilac hair gently falling over her tan shoulders.
Hitaj and Eura sit in the corner playing with dolls made of old socks, not paying attention to the conversation.
"Can we bunk with you for a few days?" I ask. "We have to take the bullet train back to Seattle, and we hope you'll join us."
"You're welcome to stay." Mareena says. "And we'll go to wherever with you."
Raheel was looking at me.
"Raheel must come with." Mareena says. "I will not join you if you do not want Raheel."
"Raheel's fine." Leeciy says. "He can come."
"How's Annaliesee?" Roselette asks.
I smile at her. "She's good, I talked to her this morning."
Eura starts crying, so Roselette's attention goes to her child.
Leeciy smiles tightly at me. "Don't worry, you'll get used to them."
I look up at him. "I know, Raheel just makes me a little anxious."
"I know that you've been attacked, but that won't happen again." He says, before quickly adding. "I think."
