Dumbledore looked at Hermione with a curious smile and pointed to the portrait of the fat lady that guarded the Gryffindor common room. The golden trio witch happily leaned into the painting and whispered the password that she had previously used. "Capuct Draconis?" The old lady let out a hearty laugh and slowly opened. Hermione slowly entered the common room, and immediately a wave of pure agony overcame her. Her knees became weak and it became increasingly harder for her to breath. Hurriedly, she stepped back outside, the painting making a face in an attempt to mock the student. Dumledore hurried outside and placed his hand on her shoulder, "Hermione, what's the matter?"

Hermione shut her eyes, trying desperately to avoid remembering anything, however her attempt was soon made in vain as memories of the past that she had made in the Gryffindor dorms rang throughout her head.

"Hermione can't you at least try to learn how to play quidditch?" Ron said as he leaned against her doorframe .

Harry crossed his arms over his chest and stifled a laugh, "Oh please, like we have time to teach Herm how to play quidditch, that would take years!"

Hermione glowered at her two best friends and hastily pushed them outside, "You two twats have nothing better to do than annoy me, can't you see I'm studying."

"Study, study, study, it's all you do isn't it!" Ron declared with a somewhat angry expression on his face.

"Oh please, I do other things."

"Really? Well please do enlighten us Ms. Bookworm!" Ron exclaimed.

Hermione stuck her tongue out and walked towards him in an intimidating fashion "I hang out with my friends!"

"Oh please, the only friends you have are Harry and I, what would you do If one day we were gone, you would die of boredom!"

Hermione stared at her hands, "If you disappeared I would be happy! All you do is annoy me." She quickly turned away from the boys gazes and motioned for them to leave completely. Ron made a move to speak, however he was stopped by Harry. "Lets just go Ron," he said, trying to get the situation under control.

As the door to the room shut Hermione moved towards her wardrobe and took the picture that she had together with them. "If you disappeared one day, I would search for you," she whispered  as she looked at the weathered photo that Maggie Weasley had made Hermione, Harry, and Ron take on their first day of Hogwarts, in their second year.

Her eyes opened ever so slightly as the memory ended, "Dumbledore, what happens if I can't change time?"

Dumbledore shook his head, "Don't think like that, not just yet at least."

The painting guarding the Gryffindor Common rooms looked angrily at the pair "Are you going to keep me waiting all day?" Hermione looked at the painting and let out a small laugh, even if she couldn't have everything back from the past, it was still nice to have the little things back to normal. Slowly she stepped through the doorframe once again, with a new sense of courage appearing deep in her heart.

The common room looked almost exactly the same as when she had last saw it, a feeling of belonging seemed to radiate from the room. Very few Gryffindor students were in the common area, however she figured she could still find a few friends for the time being. "Professor, where's my room?"

Dumbledore pointed towards the end of the hallway "the very last room, anyways I should take my leave now, feel free to alert me if you need anything."
