The golden light that had once surrounded her soon faded and she was left staring into a dark abyss. Carefully she felt around, with her weathered hands, in a desperate attempt to make sense of the situation. "I should never have trusted that creature!" she exclaimed. Her hand quickly flew to her coat pocket, nothing was there, no wand, no clues, the only thing she had left was the time turner, lying on her neck. "Hello?" she called out. Suddenly a small light appeared in the distance, wearily she stood up and began following it.
As the light grew closer  she noticed that it's source was in fact magic. "Hello!" she called out once again. This time she was met with a reply, "who's there!"
Hermione gripped the time turner and took a deep breath, she had to conceal her identity "my name is Hermione Gerard, I'm afraid I've become lost."
"A witch you say?" the voice replied, it was clear it was a mans. Hermione bit her chapped lip and sped up her pace. "Are you a pure blood?" the voice inquired. Hermione nervously gripped her time turner until she felt it would explode from compression. "Yes." The words echoed throughout her head, she had spent the last few years of her life finally coming to terms with who she truly was, and now she had to hide it. Upon reaching the light she was soon met with piercing amber eyes. "Hermione you say?"
"Yes!" she declared.
"And you said earlier that you are a pure blood," the mysterious person clapped his hand and soon the dark place that encompassed them was lit up. Standing in front of her was Tom Marvolo Riddle, in his youth of course. His hair was a brilliant jet black tone that was curled to accentuate his facial shape. At this time she now knew why everyone had called him a heartthrob, but this made no difference in her mind, he was still a murderer. He stretched out his hand to Hermione, "welcome, to my hang out spot." Hermione stepped back slightly, her head was pounding, she could complete her quest now. However, it struck her, she had no wand, so he could easily defeat her. So she bit back all her pride and slowly shook his hand. "Well, allow me to lead you to Hogwarts, I assume that's where you're heading anyway, besides, I would like to ask you a couple questions on the way there."
Hermione was taken aback, how did he know this, worried she simply nodded and followed after Tom. As they approached the exit she noticed that he was very cold, and hard a certain charm to him. "So if you're a pureblood witch, I imagine you're parents wouldn't allow you to run around in muggle clothes, with no wand, alone in the forest. Please do explain," he smiled, however it possessed anything but kindness. Hermione bit her tongue and straightened up as she walked, she would have to come up with an excuse. " I have run away from Beauxbâtons, the only way I could successfully do so is to dress like this, pitiful I know." Tom stopped walking and looked into her eyes, looking for any sign of a lie, but Hermione knew his tricks. "Well I'm quite interested as to why you ran away from Beauxbâton in the first place? I hear it is beautiful," he remarked, once more looking for a lie.
Hermione nodded, "Indeed it is, but we have no men at our school, and I fear that without a pureblood boy in my life... I will be unable to produce an heir to my family," she internally face palmed, she had painted herself to be a boy crazed witch. Tom nodded at this, "I see, thank you for explaining that, I will now take you to Hogwarts." They then began walking towards the towering school in the distance.
"TOM I TOLD YOU NOT TO GO OUT INTO THE WOODS DURING SCHOOL!" the angered teacher yelled. Tom stood there, a blank expression on his face, "I understand, this is the last time, I promise." Hermione stood there waiting to be acknowledged however minutes had passed and the teacher was still paying all her attention to the half-blood prince. "I understand, now please don't stray from taking care of Hermione, I have other duties to attend to , so I'll be taking my leave now," and with those words he was gone. Hermione turned back to the teacher wearily and forced a smile. "May I please see Professor Dumbledore, I believe our families made arrangements as to my transfer here." The teacher looked at the girl and noticed her tattered clothes, and ragged appearance. She let out a small sigh and crossed her arms, "yes, but I would first like to get you a change of clothes, first." Hermiones eyes brightened, "yes please!"
"Alright," she stepped outside of the vacated classroom and beckoned a student walking nearby to enter.
