Hermione looked up to the grinning Slytherin and quickly shook her head. "I would much rather take a bullet to the heart than receive help from you."
Tom snickered and looked down at the small witch, "whatever you say Miss Gryffindor." The way he had said Gryffindor was not normal, his eyes had grown darker and his tone had changed to that of disgust. "If you'll excuse me." He ducked out her way and made his way into the Slytherin common room, each of his steps calm and collective. Hermione made her way back to the Gryffindor common room after three more attempts to get into the Slytherin one, before finally calling it quits. She groggily made her way across the common room and plopped onto the couch in front of the fire. The flames shadow seemed to hug her face with an orangish and red tint, one that reflected the summers sun. Hermione let out a sigh and very slowly let herself fall onto the couch into a lying position. "MIONE, WATCH OUT." Ron and Hermione went tumbling to the ground as the redhead tackled the bushy haired brunette to the ground, in an attempt to stop her from getting hit by a green spell. "You need to pay attention Hermione, or you'll get hurt!" She stared back at him with sunken eyes and a battered face, "I am focused." A green light narrowly missed her cheek as it flew by. Ron stood there with a smug look on his face before he ran back to the battle front. So Hermione was left there, her eyes trained on Hogwarts, which was now engulfed in flames. "Ok Ron, I'll pay attention."
Smoke filled her nose as she took a deep breath in her slumber, alerting her body that it was time to rise. She groggily opened her eyes and noticed it was pitch black, she rubbed her eyes and soon began to smell a weird scent. "Is this?" She searched her memory trying to recall what it was the smell of, and then it hit her, she was back, she was back with Harry and Ron, back at Hogwarts. She quickly sat up, flinging the blanket that had been placed on top of her off. Immediately she felt her face drain of color. All around her were flames, they had already engulfed the entire room. Except for the couch, and it seemed that it would soon spread to the couch. She searched her head for any bit of advice that could help her. "Help! There's a fire!" A figure appeared in front of her with a smug expression on his face. "Oh really, there's a fire here?" Hermione glowered at the ghost who had appeared in front of her "where is everyone?" "Gone, they evacuated the common room hours ago, the fire wasn't being put out by any magic or water, so they were forced to let it run its course." Hermione stared at the Spector in shock and then to the fast-approaching fire. The flames began descending rapidly on her, making a run straight to her sitting position on the couch. The phantom looked at her with a face of pure horror as the fire finally reached her outstretched hands. Hermione quickly shut her eyes bracing for impact, as did the ghost. Instantly the gold and red flashes of light from the flames began to absorb into her palms, creating a dance of fire dragons on her hands. Her eyes opened instantly and the iris of her eyes that had once been brown was now a deep crimson color. The Spector deciding that it had been past time had opened his eyes and was instantly met with a peculiar sight in front of him. All the fire that had once been wreaking havoc about the castle was now being absorbed into the lone witch's palm.
