Everything was going as planned. The car ride was silent, but not awkward. I think it would have been more awkward if we had talked. I wasn't really in the mood to talk after everything that had happened, but I knew I would have to.

Once we got home I grabbed my purse and then looked at my leg. Stupid cast. I grabbed the crutches and pushed my purse to my shoulder. I was still getting the hang of these things, I was going to struggle with the stairs. I went to pull open the door, but instead found it already opened by Zayn. He really was a gentleman. I put my good foot on the ground and then supported it with the crutches. The second I expected to fall flat on my face I felt two strong hands on my waist holding me upright. I smiled up at him and then got my balance again.

All of a sudden my head seared in pain and I nearly collapsed. Instead I let my mind take over

"I felt a hand on my waist,

'Zayn?' I assumed it was him, but I got no reply. I panicked, he always replied. I tried to turn to look at the person holding me, but they held me too tight. I couldn't move an inch. I tried to run, but I couldn't. Then I wasn't sure what was worse, the fact that I was being held captive or that I could hear the other girls coming for me.

Quickly my assailant let go of me just as the other girls reached me. I couldn't see where they went but I knew that they didn't just leave us. The girls tried to pull me out of the way, out of the dark alley and onto the road so that we could get to someone. I wasn't sure who they were talking about, but they said that someone needed to find out. About what? My memory was so hazy.

Then there was a bright light, two of them to be exact, coming towards us from right in front of us. I pushed Jade and Jesy out of the way but before I could push Leigh-Anne, she pushed me. Leigh took the whole impact of the car and I simply got my leg caught. I know why this happened, because we almost blurted about Inconnu to Jade's mum, so because of an accident slip up, they try to kill us.

I couldn't move. My leg was numb, yet painful at the same time. It was completely deformed. I assumed that every bone in my leg had been crushed, because that was what it looked like. Jade rushed over to me and Jesy rushed over to Leigh. I pulled my phone out from my pocket, somehow it wasn't crushed, and gave it to Jade and told her to call 999. She did, so quite quickly we were rushed into an ambulance, but everyone refused to tell me how Leigh-Anne was. What was wrong? Why was everyone so secretive?

I pulled myself up from the lying position into a sitting position, while cussing severely under my breath. The pain from pulling the weight onto my leg was excruciating. I stopped caring about the pain and willed myself to not feel it. Soon my leg was numb and the pain was gone. I called for Jesy and she came over quickly. I looked at her and demanded for her to tell me what happened to Leigh."

I collapsed onto the ground as my arms gave way and let go of the crutches. The memory flashed bright in my mind and honestly terrified me. That was only 8 hours ago, and Leigh was still in the hospital and I was at home. Honestly I didn't know why I was home. I didn't know why I let him take me home, but I had to. I think I would've gone crazy if I stayed in that depressing hellhole for much longer.

I realised that I was crying and he picked me up off the ground. I got ready to get my crutches ready to walk again but instead my feet didn't make contact with the ground. They got swept up into both of his arms and stayed still as he carried me inside. I pulled out my phone as he put me down and did what I had to do. I texted Jesy saying '3 minutes'. It was all I needed to say, she knew what it meant. I opened up my messages to the ones from Inconnu. I left it on on the kitchen bench, then grabbed my crutches and hopped into bed. Honestly I was smashed but I had to do this.

Zayn hopped in bed next to me and pulled his arm around my waist. Just as I was about to fall into a well deserved state of semi-consciousness my phone rang and I remembered. I looked at Zayn and he went to go get it. I didn't hear anything for a few seconds, just the ringing and slightly heavy footsteps.

He re-appeared in the doorway and answered it, I knew he was going to do that.

"Hey Jesy, what's up?"

It was a bit muffled but I could still hear what she said,

"Oh hi Zayn, I was just calling to say that Pez left her phone at the... Oh wait. Never mind." I laughed, even though she just made up that excuse, I could still see her calling me to tell me that I left my phone at her place. Zayn looked confused. Of course he was,

"Here, how about I put Pez on..."

He held the phone out to me and I took it and held it to my ear hesitantly.

"Right Pez," She said under her breath urgently, "She's really not getting much better. She's strong but the doctors are worried about her chances of walking again. She's not really showing any signs of improvement but we have to do this now other wise there is absolutely no hope at all. Are you ready?"

I nodded and then realised that I was on the phone,

"Uh, yeah. Yes I'm ready."
