A month passed while being stuck in the hospital. It was only a few days before Leigh-Anne was discharged but Felicity had to stay there longer so that the doctors could make sure she was completely stable before sending her home. We didn't stay at the hospital every night but we made sure someone stayed with Felicity. The first time we brought Alicia home, she was dumbfounded. She marvelled in the way our house looked and at why we would want to look after her. She was happy, but she wasn't complete until Felicity would come home.

When Felicity was being discharged the hospital had suddenly lost it's sobriety. There were nurses from all over the hospital, who had helped Felicity, who came to say goodbye. She was a treasured gem within this hospital, a light within the darkness.

Christmas then started coming around the corner faster and faster. Christmas shopping turned into a mad rush, especially for the girls. We didn't know what they wanted, and neither did they. The house got decorated with all sorts of decorations, but the centerpiece was the tree. We all took time out to decorate the tree and all arguments were over who would put the star on the top of the tree.

It was christmas morning. I woke at the crack of dawn hoping that no one else would be up. It took me a few seconds until I realised that it was Christmas Day. I sat up as quick as possible and bolted down stairs. I quickly placed the presents under the tree before I went into Felicity and Alicia's room. We had painted it a light blue and they had lilac curtains over the window.

I raced around, placing small trinkets and keep-sakes in their stockings and a note giving them instructions to go to the kitchen.

We were going to give them separate rooms, as we had enough in the house, but they wanted to share. They still had abandonment issues and wouldn't be let out of each other's sights for more than a few minutes at a time. They had begun to settle in to living with us, but touring hadn't come up yet. I was worried when, next year, we would begin touring and doing promo around the country that they would freak out and take even longer to settle in.

I bolted back into mine and Zayn's room to fufill the impossible task, waking him up. I considered, for a second, waking him up gently, but I needed him quickly so I ran into the bathroom and filled up a bucket with freezing winter tap water. Once it was half full I heaved it out into the bedroom where he was fast asleep. I quietly lifted the bucket on top of his head and tipped it all over him then briskly took five large steps away, until I was backed up against the cream walls. I counted, 3... 2... 1...

He sprung from the bed, flailing his limbs in every which direction. His glare pierced into my skull,

"What the heck was that for?" He spat. I smiled brightly in reply,

"It's Christmas Day! Rise and shine." He groaned at me,

"No. It's not Christmas Day until I wake up properly." I rolled my eyes as he started to climb in to the wet, blanket-clad bed and then faced the opposing wall.

I walked to the other side of the bed and sat down right in front of him. He looked up at me childishly and I glared at him,

"Get up. It's Christmas Day. Stop being a spoil sport." He sighed before swinging his feet, slowly, out of the bed and pulling on a shirt.
