Every office workers' favorite time was 5 o' clock, and the time read 4:39.

My heart performed questionable somersaults and I couldn't place whether it was because of the excitement of seeing Seokjun today, or just plainly because I had downed three cups of coffee an hour ago.

My mind drifted back to the items in the gift bag beneath my desk; a creed aventus perfume that cost quite some money, eating a hole deep into my savings, the new Adidas sneakers that I never bothered knowing the name, what was the point anyway? They'd still release a new line soon and give it another ridiculous name.

I'd seen how Jun's eyes glistened when the commercial rolled in the middle of Archer. Twenty eight year old man watching cartoons like Archer. Pfft. Don't attack me.

I was shocked how ten minutes passed while I daydreamed.

"Jane, have you sent in your report to Mr Park?" my desk neighbor Jaebum asked.

"Nah, working on it now." I replied with a quick smile, lest I look distracted.

He nodded and cocked his signature eyebrow.

"You know....." he started, gradually wheeling his chair closer to mine.

"Hmmm." I replied checking the numbers in my updated report.

"There's this new pizza place that popped up in Gangnam. Papa Johns I think. Was thinking we could grab lunch there tomorrow." He continued, his dark eyes set intensely on me.

What a shameless flirt.

"Jaebum, I would love to, but you know I can't."

"Yeah, yeah I forgot. Seokjun right?"He said moving back to his laptop.

"Yeah." I replied curtly before shutting down.

"Jae, goodnight." I said squeezing his shoulder slightly.

"Yeah, goodnight. Be safe okay." He said, his usual ritual of be safe, take care of yourself, and on Friday nights: 'Don't drink too much, there's a lot of crazy guys out there.'

He might have been a shameless flirt, but he was sweet. I nodded at him before I walked out.

The train took about thirty minutes to Hongdae where Jun's trendy apartment complex was situated.

I held tightly unto the 'Happy Birthday' gift bag as I got into the elevator pressing the '8' button.

The heels of my stilettos clacking on the tiled floor as I made my way down to the door numbered '35'.

I clicked the doorbell and waited till I heard shuffling of feet.

"Hey love." He said smiling at me as we shared a kiss before I whispered 'Happy Birthday baby.'

"How was work babe?" He asked with his arms wrapped around my waist as we sat down.

"Don't you want to see what your present is?" I asked.

"I will, but I want to tell you something first." He said looking down.

My heart began palpitating and my palms secreted sweat.

"What?" I asked with my seriousness in my face.

"Jane I'm so sorry. I really enjoyed our relationship but......" he trailed off.

"But what? Seokjun are you breaking up with me? Are you being serious?" I asked standing up. My heart was shaking.

"Jane...."

"Kim Seokjun! Spit it out already! Just say it so I can leave!!" I shouted.

I was getting angry.

"Jane, I'm married." He said and my hands flew to top of my head.

My heart stopped for a moment as an emotional bullet pierced it and I felt woozy.

A married man ?

"What?!" I screamed. I was finished.

"My family lives in Japan, I was just so lonely. I'm so sorry I lied to you." I tried to process everything.

He wasn't just married, he also had a family waiting for him all the way in Japan, and here I was, dating him for over six months, fantasizing of him proposing to me soon and making me his wife meanwhile he had a wife a country away.

"I'm so sorry." He said holding my thighs.

"Get your hands off me!" I said slapping his hand off my legs.

"And give me that! You are not going to use the presents I spent my hard earned money buying!" I continued snatching the gift bag from him before storming out .

"Baby wait!"

"Don't call me that! You're a married man!" I said before running out and finding my way to the nearest subway.

My heart was heavy and pained .

I got into my apartment feeling empty and lonely. No tear stains. I wasn't the type to cry over a man. My mother would always tell me never to cry over any man that wasn't my husband, so I wouldn't.

I needed someone to talk to. I grabbed my phone and dialed.

"Hey Jane, what's up? You home safe?"Jaebum asked.

"Jae, is your lunch offer for tomorrow still up?" I rushed out, I needed a time out to clear my head.

"Wait.....I thought you and your boyfriend would be together tomorrow?" He asked, concern lacing his voice.

"I'll tell you tomorrow, is the offer still up?" I asked again.

"Yes of course. I'll text you the address." He said.

"Thank you Jae." I said biting my lip.

"Of course, take care of yourself and try and get some sleep okay? I'll call you in the morning." He said before I thanked him and we ended the call.
