The coffee filled the mug up slowly. I watched as the bubbles got created and burst in a tenth of a second. An itch on my thigh had me sighing deeply. Not today. I was clad in a pencil skirt, and the material made it difficult to relieve myself properly.
I stomped my leg on the tiled floor twice, hoping the impact would help get rid of the itch. It worked, and a sense of relief washed over me:
I threw in two cubes of sugar into the mug, followed by a spoon full of creamer.
'Sir, your coffee.' I said to my boss. He tipped his glasses a bit lower down his nose and looked at me. I picked up a slight nod from him before I came forward and dropped it on his table.
'Is there anything else I could do for you, sir?' I asked, my hands behind my back.
'That skirt suits you beautifully, Aaliyah.' He said, eyes trained on me closely. I thanked him. A warm feeling travelled up and down my spine.
'You can get back to your other duties. If I need you I'll give you a call or send a message.' He rushed out, quickly grabbing the ringing intercom.
I bowed and exited his office.
Taeyeon was staring at me again. I really contemplated stapling her eyes shut. A handful of women in the office had an obvious crush on CEO Lee. Including that lizard staring me down in her lace shirt, cleavage peeking through.
I had the perks of being closest to him due to my job position, as his PA. My intercom rang and I recognized the number quickly.
'Yes sir?' I answered and listened to his message.
I packed up a few things, including a notepad, pen, iPad and a pack of skittles.
It was an impromptu meeting with another company that had been willing to do business with us.
He read through some slides I managed to create quickly on the iPad for the meeting.
'Good work Aaliyah. Did you bring the skittles?' He asked, still reading the slides.
'Yes sir.' I handed it to him. He always likes to get a sugar rush before he went into meetings.
'And also, I told you to just call me Junho when we're alone.' He smiles at me, eyes twinkling.
I smiled back.
The meeting was a quick one. Ending with a signed deal. Now we just sat in his office sipping on expensive wine.
He looked ethereal in just his shirt, tie loosened up and first two buttons of his shirt undone. I felt a coil in my stomach every time he grabbed his lower lip in between his teeth as he pulled his tie to relieve the discomfort and stretched his neck slightly, giving me an ample view of his neck and profile.
'So, work aside. What do you really do for fun?' He asked, chewing a biscuit slowly, his tongue swiping over his lips to get the crumbs off.
'I dance to those new kpop songs. I just realized I sound like a teenager now.' I replied and laughed. He smirked slightly.
'So you're a flower boy type, huh?' He leaned closer.
'Uh I don't really have a type. If we vibe and the chemistry's there, I'm up for it.' I said truthfully.
I had completely lost track of time now. The office was completely empty except for the both of us.
'It's getting late. How do you usually get home?' He asks, standing up.
'The same way I always do. The subway.' I say, my eyes widening when I see that it's a few minutes past ten.
'How about I drop you off? It is my fault that you're still here now.' He offers and I accept graciously.
