You smiled at your boyfriend Jughead as his concentrated on his laptop. You watched his eyes dart across his laptop screen while he typed as of this thoughts onto his document.
You rested your head on Jughead's shoulder, he pulled his hands away from his keyboard wrapping one of his arms around his girlfriend leaning into the locker behind him. Jughead and Y/N have been dating for 10 months and nothing got in between them. They were in love.
"Are we still on for Pop's after school today?" Y/N asked making eye contact with Jughead.
Jughead sighed looking at her apologetically, "Sorry I can't, I have to work on an article for the blue and gold with Betty."
Something about Betty just didn't make Y/N feel good, of course you trusted Jughead but you didn't trust Betty. You've always got a weird vibe from her, as if she was going to stab you in the back any second.
You nodded sadly, Jughead's been distant lately and you just didn't know why. This was the third date this week that he's blew off and it's all been for the same reason, Betty.
"You aren't mad are you?" Jughead asked tucking a piece of your hair behind your ear.
"I'm not mad, I'll just hang out with Kevin again." You said attempting to reassure him.
Jughead smiled at you kissing your cheek, "Your the best, I'll see you later yeah?"
You nodded standing up and picking up your bag, "Yeah.."
Jughead was already halfway down the hallway and on his way into the blue and gold office. You went to Kevin's locker clearly annoyed while messing with her skirt.
"Oh bitch what happened?" Kevin asked slamming his locker, "Do I need to swing fists?"
Y/N shook her head amused a bit leaning on the locker next to Kevin's, "I don't know what's been up with Jughead. He just blew on the third date this week to be with Betty he claims to be working on the blue and gold paper but I don't trust Betty."
Kevin nodded cracking his knuckles, "We're gonna spy on them right?"
Y/N smirked nodding, "You know me so well."
Kevin threw his hands up, "Should I add sparkles to our boots? Or the beanies? Like we need to look good while we do this."
"Whatever you want Kevin." Y/N smiled.
Kevin beamed, "C'mon we'll be back in the minimum of twenty minutes, I have enough glitter to last us forty million years."
-
Kevin followed Y/N in the dark to Pop's and hid near one of the windows, "Do you see them?"
Y/N nodded, "You put too much glitter on these, we're leaving a trail Kev."
"Hush we look hot and that's all that matter!" Kevin scoffed.
You roll your eyes at him staring through the windows, Kevin was using his phone to zoom in and out.
"Is it sad that we can figure out a murder of a teenager but we can't figure out if Jugbowl bitch is cheating?" Kevin asked pulling his phone down.
You shush him watching Betty scooch closer to Jughead and lean on him. Jughead gripped her hand and intertwined them.
"What the hell?" Y/N whispered while Kevin tried getting closer.
They couldn't believe what they had just witnessed, Jughead had leaned in and kissed Betty.
Y/N pulled off her sparkling beanie feeling tears fall down her face, she felt worthless, broken, humiliated. It was finally clear, Jughead was cheating on her. With no one else but Riverdale's favorite river vixen. 10 months flushed down the drain, 10 months of love, trust, happiness. Gone.
"Oh Y/N..." Kevin whispered hugging her.
It felt like she had just dry swallowed a pill, like her heart was going to break any second and be shattered.
"C'mon, let's get out of here." Kevin said pulling Y/N up and taking her back to his truck.
-
Kevin followed Y/N back into her room, "He isn't worth it Y/N you deserve so much better."
Y/N had just finished sobbing in Kevin's truck, her phone started to ring. It was Jughead.
"Don't answer it." Kevin said shutting her phone off, "Let's forget about boys for tonight, let's order pizza and watch movies all night."
You couldn't help but smile at Kevin, "Your the best Kevin."
Kevin runned his hand through his hair, "I know I'm pretty amazing."
-
Kevin spent the whole weekend at your house, taking your mind off of Jughead. But it was the day you've been dreading, Monday.
Kevin walked with you in the hallway as moral support of Jughead tried pulling shit on you.
Once they had entered the school, Jughead raced over to Y/N, "Y/N are you okay, you haven't answered my calls all weekend."
Kevin opened his mouth to start yelling at Jughead but Y/N stopped him, "Why would I talk to someone who had the guts to cheat on me?"
Jugheads face went blank and even more pale than it already was, "Y-Y/N I'm so sorry."
You shook your head feeling tears sting the brim of your eyes, "Sorry my ass Jughead, it was the third time this week you had ditched me. I can't believe I was so stupid to not understand that I was being cheated on. I mean who could blame you, I've always known that you'd find someone better."
Jughead shook his head taking your hand, "No no princess it's not that-"
You scoffed yanking your hand away, "Just leave me alone Forsythe."
Y/N walked away soon hearing Kevin coming from her side, "You did great."
Y/N laughed weakly, "I feel like shit, I've never talked to him like that and I've never wanted to."
Kevin shrugged, "He broke your trust, it'll take awhile to rebuild it. But he loves you, a lot, a blind person could see it."
Y/N sighed sitting next to him in their History class, "If he loved me he wouldn't have kissed Betty."
"People do crazy things when their in love Y/N, think about it." Kevin said rubbing her shoulder before going to his seat.
Y/N texted Jughead a message, a message that would change their relationship forever.
"Meet me outside after school."
