"I'M GLAD YOU'RE HERE YOU KNOW, LIKE REALLY GLAD." Olivia had whispered against Tom's lips. Her warm breath fanning across his face as he looked into her eyes, although he couldn't see them properly because the main lights in the room were off. "I was rather lonely after you had left." She added, smiling. Tom felt her lips move so he assumed she was smiling, it made himself smile too.
Tom didn't know why, but he thought it would be a little weird and awkward between the two when he arrived. Probably because it would be the first time spending time together as a couple but it was the complete opposite.
"Well I'm glad I can cure you of that loneliness." Tom chuckled, his hand reaching up to Olivia's hair, his finger running through it. The blonde strands fell through his fingers as the pads of his fingers massaged Olivia's scalp.
The two were tangled up in the duvet on Olivia's bed and had been for a while. It was around 12am but the two weren't tired enough to sleep yet. Tom's eyes continued to scan Olivia's face.
"How did your parents react?" Tom asked, pushing himself up onto his elbow so he was resting on his side and facing his girlfriend. Her eyes darted up to his as she frowned.
"What, to us?" Tom nodded. "I think they were happy, I mean I didn't think they were over the moon but I don't really blame them after what happened before but they don't know you so they can't judge you at all. But they're happy for me because they can tell that I'm happy." Olivia smiled, threading her fingers through Tom's, holding his hand gently.
"As long as they're not upset or annoyed. Wouldn't want them hating me already." Tom said, laughing after he spoke. Olivia cracked a smile and shook her head while she played with Tom's fingers that were holding her hand.
"They don't hate you, don't worry. I don't think they could hate you." Olivia reassured. She couldn't imagine if her parents hated Tom, she wouldn't know what to do. She cared about her parents and their thoughts and opinions meant a lot to her but so did Tom and she liked him a heck of a lot.
"You don't know that."
"You're not the kind of person someone hates Tom, you're nothing but polite and kind. They wouldn't have a reason to hate you." Olivia said right before pressing a short kiss to his lips. "So you don't need to worry, okay?"
