They entered the office. It was a large office with the desk in the middle. There was a large portrait of Kanner on the wall behind the desk. Beside the desk was a cabinet and opposite the desk was a shelf on which various antiques were displayed. It was a simple office. Not what they were really expecting. Helen saw the door Lance had described.
They went into the door and saw the pool. “I wonder where this leads us”, Kiara asked. “To the ocean of course”, Bianca answered. “I meant where in the ocean”, Kiara explained. “There is only one way to find out”, Helen said.
“How”, Kiara asked. She knew she could not turn back to a mermaid unless she had the trident then the queen or Neptune casts a spell to transform her back. “Well you see Neptune is not the only one that can transform us to humans and shape shifters are not the only ones that can transform into anything”, Helen said.
“So?” Bianca asked not getting the essence of the whole lecture. “So what I’m saying is there is a spell that can turn us back into mermaids”, Helen said. “Really?”, Kiara asked in disbelief . “Yes”, Helen replied.
She said the spell and a bright blue light encompassed them. Kiara felt herself falling to the ground and when the light had dimmed, she felt heavy. She didn’t realize her tail was heavy on land. Bianca was shocked as she saw her mum with a light green scaly tail and her chest nude. Helen tried to cover herself with her hands and so did Kiara. “Bianca stay here and be our lookout”, Helen said.
The two mermaids jumped into the pool and began their journey. “First of all we need clam shells”, Helen said as they swam in the vast and dark ocean. There was no form of life there and they had to rely on their sixth sense to swim around. The clam shells where difficult to find as the ocean bed was too far and dark for them to swim. “What part of the ocean is this?” Kiara asked. “I don’t know”, Helen replied. Finally they got to where there was little light. And they saw the sunken ship.
“Shark city”, Helen whispered. Kiara shuddered. Sharks, one thing she hated most. They found some shells just the right size and covered their chest. “If the pool leads to shark city, then her visions were right. They were invading the kingdom with their mortal enemies- the sharks. They swam slowly and quietly into the ship and began to hear voices.
“The time has come when we take over that which the merpeople have taken from us”, Kanner said in Shark language. Kiara and Helen did not understand what he was saying but they knew that whatever he was saying was very exciting for the sharks as they wiggled their tails and turned upside down after each statement Kanner made. “I can’t make out what he’s saying”, Kiara whispered to Helen. “I don’t understand shark”, Helen whispered back in a fierce tone.
Then suddenly, a black liquid surrounded them and before they knew with they had tentacles wrapped around them. Squitty had captured them.

Bianca was getting bored of watching the pool area so she went back to the office. She sat on the chair of the C.E.O and swirled. Then she opened the desk drawers and took out some files. She opened them and began reading. They were all business papers nothing of interest. She opened another drawer and saw papers. She took out one and began to draw. She drew her mum in her mermaid form. “So my mum is a mermaid”, she said to herself and chuckled. It was a shocking revelation and she had to keep it a secret. How would she ever keep this a secret from Trisha and Becca? “Ugh”, she groaned.
Just then the door opened and she hid under the table. It was the receptionist. “So she has woken up from her slumber”, Bianca said in her mind. The receptionist looked terrified. She was coming to report what she encountered at the lobby. Bianca decided to play games after all she was bored. She took a pen and dropped it in the quiet office. “Who’s there?” the receptionist asked clearly afraid. She took a figurine from the shelf of antiques and held it in defence. She was really scared so Bianca decided to leave her alone. She later left the room when there were no more sounds. Bianca glanced at the wall clock; they had spent thirty minutes down there. She wanted to jump into the water and find them but she was aqua phobic and that was why she got uncomfortable when Andy or Poseidon mentioned the beach during their date.
When she was nine, her parents took her to the beach and she almost drowned, since the she had been afraid of swimming or vast bodies of water. But now she was scared for the safety of her mum and Kiara. What if they needed her or they were in trouble. She paced up and down the room then defying every rational voice in her head, she jumped into the pool and down she went.
