Rosalie's Point of View
It is April and the weather has been so warm and nice. I am sitting outside the rehab's garden. I see two couples talking while a nurse watches.
"Hey," Luke comes over. I quickly stand and hug him.
"No physical contact," a nurse comes by and winks. I blush a bit. Luke pulls away and chuckles.
"How have you been?" he asks as we sit on the bench.
"Very anxious to see you; this couple of weeks have been wild for me. Charlie is becoming a bridezilla and work has been nonstop. I tried coming earlier," I answer.
He gets my hands. "It is fine. I was happy with the calls."
"And how are you? Do you think you can stay sober?"
He nods. "I wasn't really dependent on it but that doesn't mean I didn't have a problem,"
I smile. "My mom is having a better time too. She hasn't touch a bottle and even went out on a date."
"Good, she is a good woman like you,"
"Anyhow, when are you coming out?"
"Soon, I almost done with the regular program,"
I look down at his feet. "And how is Nayda? Have you talked to her?"
"No, well, she send me a letter last week. She is going on a tour to help kids out,"
"That is very nice of her, she really is a good person,"
Luke touches my chin and raises my head. "We are not together anymore but that doesn't mean she cannot be my friend or does that bother you?"
"No, I just don't know how to talk about this."
"We don't have to. Let's talk about you, what are you doing for your vacation?"
I smile. He is so kind now. It is kind of weird but I know he is being genuine.
"Maybe go with Shayla to Japan. She wants to see her cousin,"
"Tokyo is cool and nice," Luke says, "I've been there."
"I am going to miss you,"
"Rose, about that, what do you want from this?"
"You,"
He chuckles. "But do you want to be with me?"
"Your girlfriend?"
He nods.
I shrug. "If you're not ready, I mean, I know it is fast since-"
He gives me a quick kiss. "That shouldn't matter. I know how you feel but if this is something we both want and it is real, why not?"
My brain has exploded and my stomach hurts but it tingles too. "Okay."
He smiles. "Rosalie Dixon, would you be my girlfriend?"
I nod and a giggle gets out. Oh man, I definitely look dorky now.
"Mr. Newman, your therapy session is now on," a nurse comes by. She smiles at me. "You must be Rose. Luke talks a lot about you,"
Luke looks shy and surprised, "I don't."
"The walls are thin here," she chuckles and walks away.
"Bye Luke," I stand. He takes my hand and we walk in. "Bye Rose,"
I kiss him. "See you in a week."
I walk out and my body is numb. My legs are so woobly. Wait-my balance is.....

"Miss you okay?" a handsome man asks me as I open my eyes. I look around and don't recognize where I am.
"My name is Martin, you fainted and an ambulance was called, do you want me to take you to a hospital?" I look at Martin again. He is an EMT guy. Darn, I fainted.
"No I am fine," I slowly sit. "Where am I?"
"At the rehab center miss,"
Oh right. I was walking out when I just blanked out.
"Well if you're fine then I leave,"
"Wait, why could I have fainted? I ate before I got here,"
"Blood pressure, pregnancy, shook, or sometimes medication we take, but you're blood pressure might have caused it. It was a bit low but for now it is good,"
Pregnancy? Shit. Did I miss my period?
"Miss?"
"Martin," I can't be, "do you have a pregnancy test?"
