Mistakes [Louis Tomlinson Fanfiction]

Chapter 17

At this very moment I am on my way to meet Zack at the coffee place downtown. The exact same place where I told Louis I was pregnant and he ran off. Now I'm going to meet my ex boyfriend who Louis hates with my kids there. Coincidence? I think not. To say that I am completely dreading this day is an understatement.

I told Louis the night before that I will be taking Andrew and Leah to go see my parents since they haven't seen them since the birthday party.

Speaking of grandparents. I'm wondering if Louis is planning on taking Andrew and Leah to meet his parents and the rest of his family. I mean they haven't exactly properly met. Jay, Louis mom knows about them. I mean I would go to her to see if she has any news on Louis disappearance at the time, which she hardly ever did. She would help me throughout the pregnancy, but once the twins were born we just lost contact whatsoever. But she's still very great friends of my moms. I'm pretty sure that she's shown her pictures of them growing up and such. My mother likes to show them off to her friends for some strange reason. But she still hasn't bothered to communicate with them.

Not like I care.

Back to the main reason why I'm here. Zack wanted to see me. And the kids. The kids know who he is. We dated for like a year and a half, almost two years. And that was last year. So they remember him.

He was like the father figure they didn't have at the time. But they knew he wasn't their read dad.

We walk into the coffee shop and the kids instantly recognize him, because as soon as they see him thy start running towards him. Hmm... If only they were able act the same way towards their real father.

Leah is the first one to approach him with a hug. Which lasted a little longer for my likings. And then there's Andrew who gives him a short hug and a high fave. He reaches to give me a hug and of course I hug back.

"Hey Lex."

"Hello." I don't know why I'm being awkward towards him.

"How have you been?" Zack ask.

"I've been good, busy but good. And you?" that isn't a total lie.

"Same."

Silence.

"How's LA?" I can't help but ask I've always wanted to go back to LA

"LA's great! The weather is different compared to here, but once learned to get use it. College is just... College." I wouldn't know.

"That's good."

Silence once again.

"So what is that you wanted to talk about?"

"Well, you know how we dated a while back, and how we broke up due to the fact that I was moving to LA?" I nodded. "Well since college is almost over, and it's time for summer holidays, and since I'm coming back here during that time, I was wondering....." I rose my eyebrows to encourage him to continue speaking.

"I was wondering, if maybe we can try again?"

Louis POV.

I get to the coffee place a little bit earlier before noon. That way I can see her walk in and see who's she meeting here.

I know that it is wrong of me to do this but I have to. Okay I don't have to I want to. There's a difference. If Lexi were to find out about this she's kill me and possibly ruin chances of me ever speaking to my kids again. Which is why I won't tell her. She don't needs to know. What you don't know won't kill you.

Once I see her car pulling up in the parking space I know I'm on duty now.

She doesn't seem to be dressed up in anything fancy. Yet again, it's only noon and she's probably only meeting up with a friend.

I see her look around until she spots the person she is looking for. And then she starts walking toward that person.

My eyes widen once I notice who she just walked up to.

Zack Davis.

Anger rises through me when I see him reach out to hug her. And she hugs him back!

Not only that but Leah and Andrew seem to be very happy to see him, because Leah literally jump into his arms. Almost the same way that she jumped into my arms when she saw me for the first time when I bumped into them. The time when she knew me as 'Louis' not her dad. The time when she was actually happy towards me. As for Andrew he just gives him a small hug and a high give. Haha sucker. But Louis, oh wait. At least he got a hug. All you did was get a small wave and I tiny hi. My stupid conscious decides to butt in.

What is Alexis doing here with them. Are they fiends? More then friends? does she not seem to remember how much we completely despise each other? How much he tried to ruin mine and hers relationship.

She told me that she was going to take Andrew and Leah to go see her parents. At their house. This doesn't seem to be their house. And that definitely isn't her parents.

She lied to me.

They're talking, Lex seems to be uncomfortable but she's still managing to hold a conversation. I need to know what it is that they're saying. I need to know. I want to know.

And the only way for me to find out is of I go in there myself. But I can't do that. If she finds out that I followed her out here she'll hate me more than what she already does.

Luckily I have extra clothes in my trunk from when I spend the night at Lexs' house, so I'll just use those as a disguise. I change into a different jacket. Put on a baseball hat and my sunglasses.

I walk in order a coffee and while I'm waiting for my order to come up I hear Zack talking about college in LA.

"LA's great! The weather is different compared to here, but once learned to get use it. College is just... College." As long as he's not here to be around Lexi then I honestly don't mind.

"So what is that you wanted to talk about?" Yes, what is it that you wanted Lexi to meet you up a coffee place to talk about?

"Well, you know how we dated a while back, and how we broke up due to the fact that I was moving to LA?" WHAT!! THEY DATED?!!

"Well since college is almost over, and it's time for summer holidays, and since I'm coming back here during that time, I was wondering....." Oh my God. He better not be wondering what I think he is.

"I was wondering, if maybe we can try again?" And my thought is correct.
