Mistakes [Louis Tomlinson Fanfiction]

Chapter 9

Today is the day. The Twins birthday party! Louis' been stressing 'bout what to get them. So I honestly have no idea on what he's going to be getting them.

Like I said before I went all out. the backyard is fully decorated, with princess, and superman decorations. As well as the inside. they even got their own cakes. Leah got a 2 layered cake, in the shape of a castle. While Andrew got a superman cake, with a superman figure on top. apparently it's supposed to look like him, but it really doesn't.

The only thing I'm worried about is having Louis and Jason here, in the same party. Jason was pretty mad about Louis being in the same town as him, let alone the same room! With Jason being Jason when he's mad anything can go down. I'm just scared that it may ruined the day. Hopefully it wont be awkward with Louis and my parents. They don't exactly hate him, they're just not very 'pleased' with him. But knowing my Mom she will be very friendly towards him. My Dad, eh, it can go both ways.

By now most of the guest have arrived. Just a few close family members and some of Andrew and Leah's friends from school. But still no sign of Louis. I'm beginning to think maybe he decided not to show up.

Right at the moment the doorbell rang. And behind the door stood Louis. With a nervous smile may I add.

"Hi."

"Hey." After that being said, we just stare into each other's eyes for what seemed like hours, but really was only 2 minutes. That was until I broke away eye contact and looking down at the ground.

"Come in, everyone's al inside." Louis steps in and I take him to where the party is taking place, which is the backyard. But once they've noticed our entrance.. Now that's where things get a bit awkward.

From the corner I can see Louis looking uncomfortable. Just as expected my mother is the first one to greet Louis.

"Hello, Louis. Long time no see." My mother goes over to Louis and gives him a hug.

"Hello, Mrs. Russo, how have you been?"

"I've been good, but how many times do I have to tell you don't call me Mrs. Russo. Call me Jennifer." My mother tells him. Glad to know that someone is liking Louis' presence, and that she was able to break some of the awkward tension going around.

Louis walks over to my Dad, giving his hand a shake. "Hello Mr. Russo, nice to see you again."

"Hello, Louis." My Dad replies bluntly. Looks like someone isn't in the mood to be friendly.

And f course we have Jason who is giving us both, ice cold hard glares.

"Well I'm going to go take Louis to go see the kids, be right back." I say that last part in a whisper, because I'm pretty sure that they wont be wanting us back any time soon.

So I take him to where Andrew and Leah are, which is the bouncy house. Leah is the first one to notice us, as soon as she sees us, and by us I mean Louis she quickly runs over to him screaming, "Louis!" who responds to her by sweeping her off her foot, and giving her a giant hug. Of course Andrew being Andrew we had to walk over to him to 'say hi' to Louis.

Many party games later, opening presents and awkward tension it was finally time for the cake.

Which like I said, they each have their own cake. but before we cut the cake we had to take pictures. And of course someone requested that we take a family photo, as in me, Louis, Leah, and Andrew. Any by someone I mean my Mom.

"Okay, Alexis, Louis go on and take a family photo with Andrew and Leah, like the happy family you are."
When she said that my eyes went wide. How dare she say that aloud.

"Yeah! Like the happy family they are." Jason mocked my mom sarcastically using air quotes when he said happy family.

"Jason" My mother warns him.

"No Mom! you can't just stand here, and act like nothing even happened! like what he did to her never occurred."

"Jason calm down. You seriously need to stop."

"Don't tell me to calm down. He left you! He left you all by yourself raising 2 kids! Didn't even bother to call, and see how there doing. And then he comes back 5 fucking years later acting is if he did nothing wrong!"

"Please stop talking." I pleaded. The last thing I want right now is for the kids to find out this way

"No. He wasn't here for their birth! He wasn't here when they lost their first tooth, to teach them how to ride a bike. He wasn't here at all! Where was he when you needed him the most? Touring the world, while you're here struggling. And don't you dare say that that it's okay. That everything's alight, and you forgive him, because things sure won't okay when you came crying to me 2 weeks ago, telling me about Andrew and Leah are going to grow up with a Dad! How Leah won't ever get to have a special connection with her Dad, like you and Dad did, like most girls her age. How Andrew won't have a Father figure to look up to. Someone to go guy things when he gets older. All because he left!"

Before I even had time to process all of what he had just said Jason had already tacked Louis to the ground throwing constant punches to his face.

At first Louis wasn't fighting back. He was just trying to get him off of him. Louis fought back after a while. Hitting Jason square in the face twice as hard.

I look over at Andrew and Leah. They look about terrified as ever. I told my Mother to go and take the kids upstairs to their room, while I try to take these two off each other. Most of the guest have left already. I guess they might if have left during Jason's rampage. Which is a good thing I suppose.

"Jason, please get off of him." I tries pulling Jason off by the arm, baht there was no use. He was string. Lucky my Dad was able to get those two off of each other.

I quickly rush over to Louis to see if he's okay. He just has a bloody nose, which I'am concern if it's broken or not. A busted lip, and a possibly black eye. To be honest I don't really care about Jason, he deserved it.

"Are you okay? I'am so sorry that he did this to you. He had no right to attack you like that and say all those, that he should've not have said."

"Lex." There he goes agin with calling me Lex.

"It's okay. I'm alright. It's not as bad as it looks." I sigh in relief once he said that, which made me beak into a smile. But that quickly faded.

"We need to talk. "
