PETER

I saw her walk away, anger blazing in her brown eyes. The eyes that were so soft, were now filled with anger. I frowned at her retreating figure.

Bang, The door shut, and I hear her sigh on the other side. I walk back in the house a little confused.

"Peter" I hear that familar voice call

"Yeah coming." I walk into our tiny old kitchen to see Aunt May on her toes trying to remove a box from the top shelf. I help her out, handing her the box I notice her puffy eyes. She has been crying again. Although she hides it very well. At least better than me.

Without any other word, I walk back to my room. Memories start resurfacing, and my insides clench in pain. I quickly change into my Spider-man outfit and jump out the window, once the coast was clear. Swinging through the city, I go towards my favourite place. The cell tower. It gives me a full view of the city, the lights looking like tiny dots below. Good thing I am not afraid of heights, right?

I stick to the tower and admire the view. This has been one of the two places I've been visiting a lot lately. This and Gwen's grave. I feel my insides clench again. I missed her. I have been dreaming of her every single night. Her words play in my ear each day, giving me courage to be the hope of this city. Especially now that Harry is so desperately trying to get rid of me. My spidey senses tell me he had something to do with the Rhino. Although the Rhino ran away before I could defeat him, and hand him over to the cops. I have a feeling he is going to come back, but I'll be waiting this time for him.

Sitting there, I think of today. How that new girl prevented me from punching Flash to death. He had said he was sorry for Gwen. But that he thought it was my fault. He said people around me die, I am a bad luck. He truly pushed me to my limit today. Well, truth hurts more than a lie. I know it was my fault Uncle Ben and Gwen died. I still remember every single detail of that day, wondering if I had done things a little differently Gwen would have been alive.

I hear sirens at a distance, ah, finally some action. My web shoots out as I swing to the source of the commotion. It was a bank. This was happening too often these days, and I knew exactly who I'll be seeing today. I sit on the terrace, waiting for her.

I hear her light footstep behind me before I see her. Her black outfit blends perfectly with the dark.

Finally.

"Haven't your parents taught you, it's not nice to steal?" I said, without looking up.

"I think you have forgotten, my father was a great thief. It's in my blood." she says, in a sexy seductive voice.

Blackcat stands next to me, looking at the commotion she had caused below. She was wearing a low cut black costume, and a black mask around her eyes to hide her identity.

"People think I am incapable of catching you." I look at her, her hair flowing in the wind. Her lips twitch into a smile, "Like you could even if you tried."

Blackcat has been definitely giving me tough competition, she's good I'll give her that.

"Don't tempt me. What you after now?" She can't be only after money, she never is.

"The crowned jewel of Bipassa."

The what what?

Just then she runs away jumping between buildings gracefully, away from the bank whose alarm was still ringing. I swing myself into motion and follow her. She stops on a roof of a hotel, and I swing myself one last time landing on the roof in front of her.

Gotcha.

"Hi there again, running out on our date so soon? It's rude you know." Her face is in shock. I know she wants get rid of me, but this time I am not letting her escape. She crouches low defensively, and takes a step back.

"What happened, has the cat got your tongue?" I ask innocently.

On that she straightens up, leaning against the railing, she says, "Oh no love, on the contrary ... I am giving up."

"Oh c'mon, nobody gives up." I said, a little shocked. Blackcat knows she's got me, and walks up to me very slowly.

"Well I am, how can little me escape you." she is too close to me, "You are so strong, so powerful" she says in a soft seductive voice touching my arm.

"Spidey I've always admired you" she continues"You should see the scrapbook I keep just on you."

I gulp. This is...way out of hand.

"I am going to say this one last time Spidey, please don't interfere with my plans ...  don't make me regret killing you." with that she moves away from me giving me a flying kiss.

With a little distance between us, I regain my thoughts.

"And here I thought we were already friends!" I pout under my mask. She smiles at me wickedly, "We could have been. And I wasn't lying about the scrapbook."

I was so preoccupied, that I didn't notice my spider-senses are buzzing like mad. I look at the floor below me, realizing it's going to ...

BOOM!

The bomb explodes and the roof collapses. I fall into the pit, pieces of rumbles falling on me. My entire body was buried under deep rumble, except my head. Blackcat jumps in after me, landing softly beside me.

She tsked, "Spider-man, I am truly sorry for all the bad luck you've been having... but I warned you before, didn't I? Never let a black cat cross your path. You just don't listen." She walks away gracefully to the crown placed in the center of a metal room. She had planned all this so well, that this was a piece of cake for her. The bank was a mere distraction.

"You know it is laser protected." I said lamely, trying to free myself.

She jumps acrobatically in-between the lasers, reaching the crown without a scratch.

Wow. My mouth drops open. Everytime I meet her, she surprises me.

Shit. Where are my senses? I really need to get out of this. I see her lift the crown with her index finger in the air and walk back to me.

"It was really nice meeting you spider-man." with that she leans in and kisses my cheek.

"Good luck." She jumps out on to the roof.

Dang. After a few struggle I finally lift the huge part of ceiling of me. But by the time I reach the roof, Blackcat had yet again disappeared into the dark night. My suit was all grey from the fall. Slightly disappointed I returned home. Laying on my bed, I throw my arms and legs in the air frustrated. She tricked me, AGAIN!
