A/N: Hello Everyone!
          An update! Finally!

This is probably the longest chapter I've written. I'm going to try and write long chapters from now on.

Hope you like this one. It has a few twists of it's own. After reading this chapter you probably will be excited to know what conversation would take place between Kira and Peter, and try my level best to make that interesting.

Hope you like the surprise in this chapter.

Okay, enough said.

Happy reading!

PETER'S P.O.V

I failed. I have failed again. Kira's in the hospital because I couldn't get there to help her fast enough. My heart ached and I felt myself drowning in guilt. If anything happened to her, I'd-*Sigh*

#3 days earlier...

"Kira!" I screamed as she fell unconscious in my arms. "Just don't give up."

I picked her and Sid up. Wrapping my arms around both of them I jump out the window. Two men rush towards me, taking Sid and Kira out of my arms. I wanted to stay with them, but before that I had to do one more thing. I went back in to get Nancy. She was gone, but I would not leave her in there. I came out with Nancy in my arms.. I put her on the stretcher as Aunt May approached us. She started sobbing, her fragile frame shaking uncontrollably. I quickly escaped the scene to go change. Running back as Peter, I went straight to Aunt May. Wrapping my arms around her shoulders I forced her to let go of Nancy's hand. They covered a blanket over Nancy and put her into the ambulance. They were so many people, fire men, two fire trucks, a dozen officers and amidst all this was a burning house emitting a thick trail of smoke in the air.

Kira wouldn't wake up. She fell unconscious because smoke had filled up in her lungs. The doctors spent the entire night trying to save her life, and they did. But she still wouldn't wake up. Aunt May and I sat in the doctor's cabin as he explained that she was physically fine, that there was no reason for her not to wake up.

"It's more of psychological thing" he said, "she isn't allowing herself to wake up." Doctor Lin explained.

Aunt May placed her hand on mine, "So there's nothing we can do?" she asked him, her voice a little shaky.

"I'm afraid not. We just have to wait." He said, shaking his head. "But I'd still like to run some more tests on her."

"Sure." I said. I just wanted her to wake up.

Aunt May held my hand with one and wiped her tears with the other. I put my arms around her tiny shoulders and helped her walk out. It was almost 7 in the morning, and Aunt May hadn't eaten anything since last night.

"Please go back home and take some rest." I tried to persuade her as I led her into the corridor.

She shook her head, "No, I'm fine Pete. I want to be there for them, both of them."

"I understand, Aunt May. But for that you need to be strong. You can't keep skipping dinner and your meds. Go home, and take Sid with you. I'll stay here with Kira. And I will call you if anything happens, I promise."

Finally, she agreed. Sid had cried himself to sleep on the bench outside Kira's room. I picked him up carefully, trying not to wake him. My heart ached for him, and for Kira. The drive home and back was quick and a quite one. Once I tucked Sid in my bed, I quickly grabbed a pair of clothes and threw them in a duffle bag which I withdrew from underneath my bed. I gave one small kiss on Sid's forehead before grabbing my phone and wallet and walking out.
