KIRA P.O.V
THUD.
That's how my morning started, with a freaking fall from my own bed. I fell on the floor, face first. The contact made such a huge noise, that I was a pretty sure my neighbours could hear it. Nancy came banging on my door, "Kira! Are you okay in there?!" She asks concerned. I rub my face, thankful that I didn't break my nose.
"Yes!" I jump ninja style over my bed to the door on the other side. I unlock the door to let Nancy in.
"What was the noise?" she asks me, walking in. Her eyes travelled around my room searching for an intruder.
"Oh that" I scratch my head, "I fell off the bed" I said sheeply.
She smiles at me knowingly. "Okay, go get ready. I have to leave early today ..." She said, checking her watch.
"I'll walk to college, it's not a big deal" I offered, with a shrug.
"Yeah? Well thanks" she hugs me, "And could you, uh, get Sid dressed."
"Yes I can, You go, better not be late on the first day of your new job!"
Nancy recently got an amazing job at the Art & Sculpture studio, that paid well, at least better than the waitress job she had previously!
She thanks me once again and rushes out. I decided to get Sid dressed first, so I went to Nancy's room. Her room was huge, and too white for my liking. White walls, white curtains, white bed and a grey armchair! Ugh. I walk towards the king size bed, with a little figure lumped inside the sheets.
"Sid, wake up kiddo." I said softly, waking him up. After a few nudges and "C'mon" he finally sits up, extending both his arms for me to pick him up. I chuckled. He looked so sleepy, his eyes were still close. I cradle him in my arms and taking him to the bathroom. He walks-in to have a bath.
"No sleeping in there." I warn him. Till Sid has a bath, I remove his uniform, and shoes. After getting him dressed, I leave him downstairs with cereal to eat. I quickly shower and change into a faded jeans and purple hoodie.
"C'mon Sid." I grab his and my bag and walk out. We walk till the bus stop, Sid constantly talking about his friends at school and his teachers. I smiled at his childish rant.
"And one day" he continued "I pour glue onto Mrs. Hamich's chair, and when she got up, the chair was stuck to her bottom!" I shake my head in amusement.
The bus finally came, halting in front of me. I hand Sid his bag and wave good-bye. He waves back a huge smile on his face.
The walk to the college was longer than I had expected. I could have taken a taxi, but I didn't want to waste my limited amount of cash. Luckily, I arrive college just in time. I had made a promise to myself, that today no matter what, I will not miss any of my lectures. I was now familiar with the most common parts of the college. This actually made it easier for me. I walk towards my first class, and I am lucky that Mrs. Muriel isn't there. A breath of relief escapes my mouth. I spot Flash at the back of the class with Jo, I wave at them before sitting down. Okay, yes I wave only at Jo. I am still pretty much pissed at Flash. I prop my hand on the table, and look outside the window. Mrs.Muriel walks in, a grim look on her face.
