"We all are nothing but shooting stars"

KIRA's P.O.V

"NO!" I scream at the nurse as she tries to give me another injection. The sight of the needle penetrating my skin made me nauseous. Peter and Jake held me down as the nurse found a clear path to stick her needle in. I fought with all my might against the hold of the world's two biggest idiots.

"I don't need some stupid injection, you fu**ing morons! I AM FINE!" I yelled at them, still trying to get out of their hold. The more I struggled the more their grip tightened around my wrists and legs.

"Take that away from me you bitch!" I spat at the nurse. Her face turned a shade lighter, but since I was being securely held away from her she continued. I turned my head away just in time as she injected me.

"Everyday" I heard her whisper, followed by a sigh of relief as her task was completed. I turned back to glare at her.

"Fuck you."  If this was such a big task, why did she have to come everyday?

I saw her throw away the needle, the same one which had been under my skin just a few minutes ago. I felt the familiar nausea rising in my stomach. Thank-fully Peter had loosened his grip on me, making it easier for me to kick Jake in his stomach, push Peter on the floor and run to the bathroom just in time to puke the contents of my breakfast down the hole.

I kneeled down on the floor, waiting for another wave. I heard the door open and shut softly behind me. Without looking I knew it was Jake. He was always there, since the moment I woke up. I don't remember much of the days, mostly because they keep me drugged. But when I do wake up, I always find him there. He rubbed my back as the second wave finally hit. Washing my face and mouth, I popped a mint in. Jake had bought those for me, to get rid of the foul taste in my mouth. Who knew he could be that thought full? I looked at his reflection in the mirror and burst out laughing. He was wearing a clothe pin over his nose.

"Where did you get that?" I asked, holding the sink for support.

He shrugged in reply, "Around"

My laughter came to a stop, "You know, you don't have to be in here with me"

"I know." I heard his very serious voice behind me and I look back up at him "But I want to."

I sigh.

I wanted to reply back, to tell him I was fine, that he could stop being worried about me, but I felt my eyes closing on their own accord, the drug taking over my body. I lost the sensation in my feet, and I swung backwards. I fell into a hard but warm chest. Jake wrapped his arms around me, supporting me.

"Don't fight it. You need sleep." was what I heard as unconsciousness fell upon me.

~ few hours later.

I never would have thought that there'd be a time when I'd be sick of sleeping. Sleeping used to be my favourite hobby.

"Sleeping is not a hobby Kira." an annoying voice interrupted me.

I open my eyes to see Jake's face hovering over me. I fold my arms across my chest as he takes a seat beside the bed.

"Lookie! What did I get for you today?" He said, raising plastic bags up.

Dinner.

I wrinkle my nose as the smell hits it. It definitely smelled good, but somehow it made me wanna throw up, even if I had had nothing but liquids all day.
