32 minutes later...

"Finally" Peter said, coming to a halt in front of my drive way.

"Hey I'm not that bad of a company!" I jokingly punch his shoulder as we laugh. It has been a long day, but it's not something I am complaining about. I got to meet spider man and also I befriended Peter, I guess. I mean after today, we are friends right?

Right?

"Goodnight then" Peter said, walking in the opposite direction towards his house.

"Peter." I call after him.

He turned around, his hands still in the pockets of his jeans. "Next time if you pick me up and throw me in a closet that stinks of disinfectants-" I paused to make an effect, "I'll punch you in the face." I said calmly.

He chuckled at the threat and continued walking away. I smile and turn to walk inside, the cold catching up with me. I shiver.

"WHERE WERE YOU?" Nancy screams at me as I enter the drawing room.

"Um-Nan-"

"Do you know how worried I have been? How many calls I have made in the past hour? The doctor said you left an hour ago? WHERE WERE YOU?"

My jaw dropped open at all her questions. "I-uh-I texted you that I was fine." I tell her lamely.

"Fine? I will believe it when I see it." Nancy folded her arms infront of her chest, he left hand still holding the phone. She made me twirl atleast twice and checked my arms and legs twice to make sure I was okay.

"See?" I said, twirling one more time, and giving her the cutest smile I could pull. Her anger melts away, replaced by a flood of relief. "I was with Peter. We got discharged from the hospital and then I got hungry." She looks down at me. Yes I was shorter than her, actually I am shorter than most people, anyways she looks at me with an expression that said 'how can there be such a simple explanation for all her questions?'

"KIRAAAAAAAAA... "Sid screams from the top of the stairs as he spots me through the railing. Running down at a speed that made my heart nearly stop a beat, he jumped into my open arms. His tiny arms wrapped around my neck as I lifted him up. He hugged the life out of me, literally.

"Where were you?" he pouted, "You've been gone all day!"

"Oh Champ, I am so sorry. But I know how to make it up to you." I smile, one hand supporting him the other rubbing his back, comforting. "Guess who I met today?" I ask both of them.

"Tom and Jerry?" Sid asks, grinning at me as if it was possible. But then for him it could be, he's just a child after all.

"No, better. Spider man!" I sing his name, my voice rising in excitement. Nancy already knew this I guess, cause if there is trouble, there will be spider man. Sid jumps in my arms, demanding me to tell him everything. And so I did, not missing a single detail. Well except the part where Peter locked me in the closet, I left him out of this.

We had dinner over this amazing story, and then I went to put Sid to bed. Nancy was doing the dishes tonight, considering that I almost died. If it wasn't for spider man, I probably wouldn't have been even alive. I tuck Sid into the bed, and he instantly falls asleep with a smile on his face and his super hero action figure in his hand. "Sweet dreams champ" I whisper, kissing his forehead. Tired I drag myself into my bedroom. I had to summon every bit of energy left in me to keep myself awake long enough to change my clothes and brush my teeth. The relief of jumping into my soft and warm bed and lying down felt like heaven. I wrap myself in the blanket "God" I start praying, I always do this before going to sleep, "Please give the worlds happiness to Nancy, Sid, Aunt May, Peter-" I trail off, wondering if I should add in the last, "and spider man."
