Ava's POV
Summer vacation came to an end, and soon school was starting up. Can't say I was the least bit excited. Lizzie and I had grown crazy close. It's like I had known her my entire life, it felt good to have at least one friend. As I rolled over to snuggle into my blankets again, my alarm went off signaling it was 6:30 a.m, which meant I only had 2 hours to get ready for school. I opened up my texts and saw 3 misread messages.
TEXT CONVO ONE
5:30 a.m Lizzie: HEY! Picking you up for school today. I want everyone to see the new hot girl as my bestie! LOL. Be ready by 7:50.
I typed very slowly, with one eye open.
6:31 a.m Avez: You're crazy but why not. Not like I have a car. Also, WHY ARE U UP AT 5:30???!
After sending that text, I realized that Jasper texted me a hefty text. It had just dawned on me that I'd be spending my senior year away from Minnesota and my friends.
3:00 a.m Jazbell: It sucks not having you here for senior year. Sorry I haven't texted you as much this summer, still coping with the fact that you're gone :( Text me as soon as you get this. Love you!
How did I get so lucky with having a best friend like him. It's a relief he misses me as much as I missed him. I knew I had to make it my mission to see my friends again. I just kept thinking back on what Jasper wanted to tell me before Khloe interrupted us. Ugh, it sucks being 30 hours away from your actual family.
6:42 a.m Avez: I miss you so freaking much, let's video call after school today. I wanna hear about everything that's happened today. [Insert Heart Emoji]
I soon got up and decided i'd have to destroy my room in order to look somewhat decent today. I'm a girl, and I actually want to try and make some other friends beside Lizzie. The new girl has to look somewhat okay today. After about 30 minutes, I finally found an outfit. I just hoped that they wouldn't dress code me for having my shoulders out. Considering the fact that most schools think all boys have a collarbone/shoulder fetish.
After I got my outfit on, I decided that these designer eye bags would have to be put away for a day. I sat down in front of my vanity, pulling out my everyday makeup products. It consisted of foundation, concealer, bronzer, blush, eyeliner, mascara, and powder. A simple look goes a long way. Not to mention I loved how the winged eyeliner made my eyes pop. The one thing I could actually thank my Dad for was my lashes. I got them from him.
I checked the time and saw that it was 7:50 which meant that Lizzie would be honking any second. I grabbed my book bag, and house keys while tucking my phone in my back pocket. I quickly grabbed a banana and a granola bar, as I made my way outside. I couldn't help but think about Chase, would he still be an arrogant jerk? Or would he grow a pair and be normal?
