Chase's POV

-------------------

We had started out the match fine, we were tying. Of course I knew how important those new uniforms were to the volleyball team. I knew Ava would try really hard to win tonight.I didn't think she'd go to extreme measures though.

Once she ran towards the stands, I knew it wouldn't end good. She tripped over Mr. Brey's foot, and the entire room heard a loud crunch. I rushed over to her as fast as I could. Everyone was standing around her, I just needed her to get up and be alright. But that wasn't happening. The ambulance came and soon enough she was being carried off into a stretcher.I needed to be with her.

"Ava stay awake. Don't go to sleep please." I pleaded with her. I was rushing towards her so I could accompany her to the hospital.

"Sir, you have to stay here." An old paramedic said. Who the fuck did this guy think he was? I wasn't gonna leave the best thing that's ever happened to me behind.

"The hell I am grandpa." I said rudely. I was about to tell Ava to hold on longer, but next thing I knew, she was unconscious. They ran towards the ambulance and I knew they wouldn't let me in, so I got in my car and sped off towards the hospital.

So many thoughts consumed me as I drove. Would Ava be able to continue the season? Would she only have minor injuries? God,I really hoped so. She's such an amazing girl, I couldn't bear to lose someone I cared for so much. Sure we had only been dating for a little over a month, but I meant it when I say I had strong feelings for her. Ava really knew how to light up someones day, she even managed to forgive Peter. Why the hell am I talking about her like she's dead?

I arrived at the hospital, and ran inside. I saw the front desk lady and said quickly, "I need to see Ava Kendrick." The front desk lady stared at me dumbfounded. "Excuse me? I need to see Ava Kendrick. Now." I said impatiently.

"Oh um right.Let me see if she's in the system." She said. "So she did just come in, but you can't see her unless your family."

"I'm her boyfriend, let me in." I said rudely. If she didn't let me in, I swear I could punch a fucking wall. I needed to make sure she was okay.

"Well,I could let you in... but for a small price." The front desk woman said leaning over the counter. I knew what she wanted, I wasn't born yesterday. I leaned into her and said,"Didn't you hear the part about me having a girlfriend?" I even managed to give her a dirty look. That made her go back to her seat and mumbled for me to have  a seat.

Eventually, some nurses would come by and tell me that Ava was alright, but I still couldn't see her for further testing. A bunch of bullshit if you ask me. I was probably waiting in the lobby for about an hour.I was an impatient guy, but this could wait. I had to wait matter fact. I'd wait for her as long as I could.

"I need Chase Myers." One of the nurses said. I sped walked to her and she said, "Ava's awake, she wants to see you." God, I'd been waiting to hear those words for a long time. Okay, an hour but still. I reached Ava's door and knocked.

"Come in." I heard her say. I walked in and she looked so pale. My poor Ava.

"What'd the doctor say?" I said leaning in to peck her forehead. I didn't care if she was still sweaty, and looked like she had the measles. She was still beautiful to me. Why the hell did I compare her to the measles? Why am I like this?

"I have a small concussion, and I just rolled my ankle pretty bad." Ava said reaching for my hand.

I grabbed her hand and interlaced our fingers together, "You can still play volleyball though, right?"
