Chapter 13: SKRTT

Ava's POV

Chase and I were tangled in each others arms. It felt so right. My first boyfriend. It sounds pathetic, I know. At least, I was pretty sure we were dating now. I mean I did just say it. Did I mention Chase was a phenomenal kisser? So much better than Peter. Like way better times ten.

"What is this?!" We both heard a screech, which caused us to jump apart from each other. Of course this would happen. Why do all bad things happen to good people?

"Chase, explain. NOW!" Trish said stomping her foot. I decided to stay quiet, I mean Chase was a big boy. Surely, he could handle the devils reincarnation.

"I don't have to explain anything to you. I broke up with you." Chase said. He acted like she was any regular person. Which I ensure you, Trish is not normal. At all.

"But we always come back to each other!" Trish said wide-eyed.

"Not this time Trish. I'm with Ava now." He said motioning his hands between us. Trish had no words. At least I thought she did. Of course I was wrong because she came really close to my face, and said, "This isn't over." She then looked between me and Chase, and huffed. We watched her walk away with sass. 

"Now where were we?" Chase said attempting to kiss me. Hence the word, attempt.

"No way! Not after that she-devil came to attack me." I said opening my car door.

"She-devil? Hm, that's a new one." Chase said with raised eyebrows and a small laugh. God, I loved his laugh. 

"Why were you even with her for so long?" I said shaking my head.

"Reasons." He said shutting me out.

I hated when he did that. He always wanted to know about me, but god forbid me ask him one thing without him giving me one word responses. He could tell that it pissed me off, because he gave me a quick peck on the cheek, and walked off to his car.

I turned on the engine and zoomed off towards the car dealership my mother told me about. I got there and my mom was already chatting with the man who I assumed was in charge. I parked her car, and walked over to them. 

"The 2015 Jeep is actually the best deal right now." The middle-aged man spoke. He then noticed me and said, "Ah! You must be Avalon. I'm Rick." He said extended his hand to me.

I shook it, but then corrected him, "Ava actually. So what are the options for today?" I said puttin my hands behind my back.

"That all depends on you." Rick said. Then he turned towards my mom, "What's the budget?"

"20,000 is the highest." My mom said. I looked at her like she was crazy. I mean that was a lot of money. I would've been happy with the ugliest car there. As long as I had one.But I meannn, if she's gonna pay then who am I to oblige!

Rick then took us over to the cars and showed me a black jeep, a malibu, and a mini cooper.

"You know, I think I found the perfect one." I said smiling really wild.

So here I was cruising with Lizzie, Kiki, Abigail, and Mia jamming to Body Like A Backroad. I couldn't believe my mom let me get the black jeep. Everything inside the car was black, and the seats had leather on them. It made me feel like a bad ass. Like I could do anything in the world.

"Hips like hUNAY!!" Kiki all of a sudden belted. 

"Alright, I think that's enough music for today..." Lizzie said turning the radio off. "I have a better thing to do!" she thought about it for a while and said, "Chase! Word has it that you and him were caught in a hot makeout sesh."

That made my cheeks turn red. All the girls suddenly tuned in and waited for my response. "Well, we're sort of seeing each other now..." I said turning into Mia's house.

"WHAT!" Lizzie yelled. "WHY DIDN'T WE HEAR ABOUT THIS BEFORE?!?!?" I stopped at Mia's house and we all got out.

"Well, I wasn't even sure what we were. We just figured it out today." I said. "PLease don't be mad at me!" I said pleadfully.

"We're not mad, but next time we better be the first to know!" Mia said unlocking her door.

"Done deal!" I said pulling them into a hug.

We all piled into the house and watched movies. Until Mia spoke up, "Okay guys since we're talking about love life, I need to say something.." We all listened to her motioning for her to continue.

"Soo I met this amazing guy, and he's so hot. But he's sort of older.."  She said pausing, "It' Alex Brey.."

"Wait! As in Substitute for Farfukus, Brey?!" I said shoving popcorn into my mouth.

"...yeah..." Mia said curling up into the pillow.

"HOT DAMN! GET SOME GIRL!" Abigail yelled. 

"Am I the only one concerned that he's way older, and a teacher?" Kiki said worried.

"No.. I am too." I said agreeing with her. 

"Technically, sub. So it's okay!"Lizzie said getting up. "be right back, gotta tinkle." 

"Guys, what do I do?!" Mia said exhausted.

"End it."

"Fuck him."

Me and Abigail said at the same time. We both looked at each other weird. "I'm pretty sure it's still illegal, AND you could get expelled." I said reasoning with her.

"Or! It could be the most epic romance ever!" Abigail said dreamily.

"Sorry to break it to you, i'm with Ava on this one." Kiki said eating her candy.

"Boo, you whores." Abigail said upset. "Mia do what you think is the best decision. Your life." Abigail finished saying while checking her phone.

"I hate to admit it, but she's right. It's up to you." I said grabbing my keys. "You guys need rides home?"

"Lizzie does!" Lizzie said running out of the bathroom. 

"I do too." Kiki said slipping her shoes on. "Abigail you coming?"

"Nah, i'm gonna stay a while longer. See you guys tomorrow." We all waved goodbye, and eventually got into the car. I drove Kiki, and Lizzie home. By the time I got home, it was 11:30. Time sure fly's by when your having fun.

I stepped out of my car, and noticed an extra car was at Chase's house. It wasn't his parents that's for sure. Maybe it was a cousin? Who knew. I was way too tired to even bother checking. I walked inside my house, and saw that my mom was passed out on the couch. I tucked her in with the sofa's throw over, and walked upstairs.

Chase's window was open, and I decided to say goodnight before I retired to bed. Only to my realization, he wasn't alone.
