Hannah decided to leave a note in her shelter for anyone who may had survived that would think of coming back to find refuge.
“I’m getting out of here. I feel kind of sorry for all the poor souls who will be left behind, fighting for humanity’s survival. Don’t be mistaken, the world is dying. This is where the battle will be won or lost, the fight for the soul of humanity. Our home was revealed to evil raiders. I just know that if I stay I’ll die. I’ve given all I can here. We can’t help people who don’t want to be saved. Some people need to learn the hard way, through suffering. That’s how I did.”
After grabbing her travel equipment and personal belongings. Hannah filled her bikes tanks and hooked an extra fuel the tank on the wielding.
It was definitely the best choice for fleeing the infested area. Her dirt bike could reach places inaccessible to the rest of the settlement's vehicles.
Plus, she could use the adrenalin, riding it for miles, speeding right through zombies and catch up to Clyde and his group to demand their support in taking down the master of land and his chain of command.
Of course, there were drawbacks. Dirt bikes have small gas tanks, and offer no protection whatsoever. Sadly, as she drove through the winds she realized most fatalities appeared to had happened from ordinary accidents.
Ignorant survivor were found killed just as easily by a crash as by the jaws of the braindead. Either she fought for another day or she could just be another meal for the braindead. She built a strong body, heart, mind, and spirit along her journey.
Riding dirty. Hannah passed Scar City's sign as she drove further away from the hills and into the county, avoiding the road, but remaining near it.
