However on this day she had failed them as she felt weak for being unable to make it in time to warn her group of the coming attack.
Gunning. Hannah was forced to contribute to the bloody grounds as she shot her undead people one by one, staying outside the fence, picking off targets from a far distance.
Alone once again. Devastated to find no one left alive, decapitating everyone that she cared about. Condemned, each night she would live out her worst fears through vivid nightmares, and each day her energy wanes more and more.
The haven was littered with gore, weapons and bodies. Corpses of the fallen, many had turned and rotten are the new nightmares that would now haunt Hannah.
The air which would normally be fresh and smell of nature's wonders is now deafening loud, the sound of explosions drowns any other sound in the area, hell has descended upon this area.
What was once a serene, growing haven, had now become the stage of a quick, destructive battle. It's wooden logs were chipped with bullet holes. Gore covered the plants, flowers and trees.
Those raiders had came in the night and took the life of survivors, friends, family, husbands and wives, all gone in a flash. With a single clue of who might've been responsible, but feeling the lack the power to avenge her fallen.
Horrified to see what’s become of her group, Hannah passed pikes avoiding the screech of familiar faces, looking at her has if she was simply fresh skin walking towards their biting jaws.
Looking around she noticed several of face-covered raiders had lost the fight against her loved ones, realizing her haven wasn’t overran by zombies, but by those horrible raiders.
"Whoever led them here was surely dead or walking among the rotten fiends," she thought.
Her next decisions required much for her to keep her head up. Hannah and her group had finally maintained a modicum of civilization.
“Is there a future for a killer? I came a long way, but that never promised another day.” She thought, reminiscing about memories of her previous settlement enjoying story time around the fire.
