I look up at Poe. His eyes were glued to the ground. I couldn't see if he was angry, upset or confused. Finally, his eyes meet with mine. I see the tears that brim them and my heart immediately shatters.

"Poe..." I reach up to his face hesitantly. He pulls my hand and rests it against his cheek before kissing the palm of it. A tear escapes his eye and he wipes it away. Before he could say anything, Finn comes bursting into the infirmary. I breathe out, closing my eyes to stop myself from lashing out at Finn.

"Poe—Rose and I had the best idea—the tracking from the lead destroyer—we can jump through light-speed if we disconnect the tracker—"

"What?" I ask. Poe and I stand to our feet, facing the other two.

"Just—" Poe stops Finn. "Give it to me again, but simpler."

"So, the First Order's only tracking us from one Destroyer, the lead one."

"So, we blow that one up." Poe says. I shake my head, chuckling at him.

"I like where your head is at, but no. They'll just start tracking us from another destroyer. But if we sneak on the lead destroyer and disable the tracker without them realizing, then we can—"

"They won't realize it's off for one system cycle." The girl, Rose, who had walked in with him, spoke up. "About six minutes."

"Sneak on board." Finn says as Rose turns on a hologram of the main Destroyer. "Disable the tracker. Our fleet escapes before they realize." Finn says as the green hologram shows the plan.

"Hm." Poe says before pacing the room slowly.

"How did you two meet?" I ask. Poe nods to me in agreement.

"Just luck?" Rose answers.

"Yeah, good luck?" Poe asks while walking over to Leia and resting his hand on hers.

"Not sure yet." Rose answers.

"Poe, we gotta do this. It'll save the fleet and it'll save Rey."

Poe looks to Leia before looking to me. Our eyes lock.

We have to.

I nod, knowing he and I are thinking the same thing.

"If I must be the sole voice of reason, Admiral Holdo will never agree to this plan." C-3PO declares.

"Yeah... you're right, 3PO. It's a need-to-know plan... and she doesn't."

C-3PO begins to retaliate when Poe pulls all four of us to the hologram.

"You guys shut down that tracker, Alex and I will be here to jump us into light-speed."

"But, the question is: how do we sneak these two into Snoke's Destroyer?" I ask while leaning over the table on my hands.

"We steal clearance codes—"

"No, they're bio-hexacrypt and re-scrambled every hour." Finn cuts Rose off. We all look to him in defeat. "We can't get through their shields undetected. Nobody can."

"So, that's it?" I snap while pushing off of the table and landing my hands on my hips. Poe looks up and points to me. My eyes light up.

Maz, she can do it.

The four of us run to the nearest subspace transceiver and Poe finds her.

"Could I do it? Of course I could do it! But I can't do it. I'm a little tied down right now!" She turns and shoots at some sort of threat before hiding.
