"Juliet Drover. There's not much left to say." And wow, he never thought that he'd have to be the one to say the eulogy of his ex girlfriend. But here he was saying it.
"She was a great person loved dearly to most people. It's a shame her time had to come so soon, too soon. She deserved a longer life, happiness, marriage, children, a dream job, growing old with someone. She wasn't able to get the life she deserved. God, but the life she did live, well to put it simply, it brought happiness to those around her. Juliet Drover was a great person, she made jokes and her laugh. Her laugh. It was a type of laugh that you only hear a few times during a regular life span. Now, most you of do not know me, and I do not know most of you, but we still share one thing in common. The happiness Juliet Drover brought into our lives. The happiness we will never forget."
Te funeral went along as planned, people who wanted to say something, said what they needed to.
It later ended and people began to leave, but Zayn stayed. People came up to him, saying his speech was great, he thanked them. Then more left but he stayed.
He stayed until there was one last person there. That one person, just decided to go and stand next to Zayn.
"You're holding together very nicely, you know." Zayn turned his head to see who was talking to him.
"Hi, I'm Dr. Riggs, I was Juliet's therapist." She held her hand out to shake but Zayn just looked at it and then back to her eyes.
"I hope you realize that Juliet was a very damaged girl, as she said."
"Yes, I do. And is there a problem with that?" Zayn asked, suddenly getting defensive.
"Well, I find it sort of surprising how you were able to look past all of her troubles and flaws." Now Zayn's eyebrows were furrowed with disgust because of her therapist.
"There were no flaws to look past. To me, Juliet was perfect now I'd appreciate is greatly if you left."
Dr. Riggs just looked at Zayn for a few moments before walking away.
Then there was only Zayn left.
Zayn still stayed. It was just him. After a bit, graveyard workers came to say that they would be putting the casket in the ground soon so he should say his last goodbyes.
So Zayn waited until they left to walk up to the open casket and in it, placed a book inside. But it wasn't any book. It was the book that made them meet.
And with that, he said one last goodbye she'd never reply to an walk away.
