Daisy pov:
I huffed for probably the fifth time in the past 17 minutes. Mom obviously forgot me. No surprise considering all she thinks about is Paul.
I stopped impatiently shaking my leg and stood up from the cold concrete bench. It was hot out but for some reason the seat was freezing. I picked my bag up from the ground and slung it over my shoulder. I don't want to walk home but it seems like I don't have another choice considering she's not answering her phone and my car won't be her for a few more days.
I put in my earbuds and started my long walk home. Thankfully my house isn't too far from the school, only a few blocks.
You know when you step perfectly to the beat of your music and you feel like you look so cool, but in reality you don't because only you can hear the music. That's how I was feeling right now in perfect sync with my music. My head was slightly nodding with each step and a smile was plastered on my face even though my mom forgot me.
I was just so into my music and feeling good that a sent a wink to the 80 year old man watering his flowers and continued walking home. I watch him slightly blush and then look behind me. I watched his face drop and him turn to go inside.
I pulled an earbud out and heard the roaring of a motorcycle engine. I turned and watched it get closer. The bike was different from Corbyn's so I knew it wasn't him. I was relieved and scared at the same time.
The engine roared loader as the rider revved it and sped towards me. I stood frozen as I watched him. When he got closer it slowed down and eventually stopped beside me. I gulped as he reached up to take his helmet off.
When it was completely off I slightly gawked at the boy in front of me. With his brown hair and blueish eyes.
"Need a ride babe?" He said over his roaring engine. And all thoughts of him being cute went out the window. Really, babe?
Instead of staying to converse I continued walking. I thought he would leave but I was wrong, instead he continued slowly beside me.
"You know it's not nice to not say anything." He said loudly over the engine.
I glared at him but kept my mouth shut. "Come on babe I would hate to make that sweet ass of your walk home." He said with a smile and my eyes widened.
"I'm not getting on your bike! Leave me alone!" I yelled and turned the other direction so he wasn't following.
I heard him grumble a few things before he took off down the road in the direction of my house. I turned back around and continued walking home.
I wonder if he knew Corbyn considering they both have bikes.
My assumption was confirmed when I walked up the steps of my front door and saw his bike parked across the street in Corbyn's driveway. Of course they know each other.
I walked in the door and went straight up to my room. I didn't hear or see any sign of my mom or Paul.
Instead off laying back on my bed which I would love to do I set my bag down and started unpacking boxes. First I started with my bed sheets so I could take a nap soon and then moved to my clothes.
After about an hour and two big boxes I was over folding and hanging up clothes. I don't even know why I have so much I mean I never wear half of it. I opened my box of random things when my bed room door flew open.
"Daisy. Please come down stairs I have someone I want you to meet." She said holding my door open.
"I'm kind of in the middle of—" I stopped when her eyes widened at me and her jaw clenched daring me to continue.
"Yeah, sure." I said standing up with a huff and she gave me a fake smile as I passed her. She lead the way down the stairs and to the living room.
There standing in the middle of the room was Paul and a boy about his height. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Who was this boy?
"Daniel. Daisy. Daisy. Daniel." He said gesturing between us as he said our names.
"Who is this?" I asked looking at my mom for an answer.
"This is Daniel, Paul's son." She said in a duh tone with a fake smile.
"Son?! You said nothing about him having a son?!" I yelled at my mom and her smile turned to a face of hurt.
"Yeah." Daniel said turning to his dad. (Yes as in Daniel Seavey)
He was cute but likely soon to be my step brother. He had brown hair and beautiful blue eyes and didn't look much like Paul at all.
"You didn't tell me about any of this Mom! You didn't tell me we were moving. That we were living with your boyfriend and now his son. You didn't tell me about this, any of it. Your changing everything. What about Dad? How could you do this?" I yelled with tears ready to spill out of my eyes. Everyone was frozen and dead silent, but I didn't stick around, I stomped up the stairs and into my room slamming the door closed.
Everything was changing and I just couldn't handle it. It's hard to go from routine and happy to out of place and forgotten.
I climbed out of my bedroom window and shimmied down the tree beside it. I walked to the end of the driveway and stared at the house. This wasn't Home and I didn't want to be here any longer.
Corbyn pov:
I was sitting outside smoking when I saw daisy climb out of a widow and down a tree. I blew my smoke out with a smile. Maybe she's not as good as she seems.
I watched her look at the house for a while before she took off down the street. I wanted to know where she was going so I hoped on my bike and waited till she reached the end of the street to turn it on.
I hung back and watched from a distance until she walked to a park. I watched her sit on the swing and push back and forth with her feet lightly. After a few minutes I decided to pull into the park parking lot, hopefully I don't scare her away.
Daisy pov:
After leaving the house I ran to the park. I don't know why it just felt like a safe place. I wasn't there long before I heard the loud engine of a motorcycle and saw it pulling into the parking lot.
My heart started racing. Oh god Daisy you are so stupid. I don't mean to stereotype but alone in the dark with a biker; you would be scared too.
I tried to hide by the slide but I'm sure I've already been spotted. I heard a soft chuckle and then footsteps growing closer. I clenched my eyes and fist shut in fear.
I screamed when they touched my shoulder. I slowly opened my eyes and was faced with blonde hair and blue mesmerizing eyes.
"Look I know y-you are probably mad about earlier, b-but please I don't wanna die." I said closing my eyes again and raising my hands up in defense.
Ok cliffhanger. I'm sorry I haven't written anything in any of my books recently I've been very busy with wisdom teeth out and act and packing to move. I'm sorry but updates will be slow and i hope you can understand. I hope you enjoy this chapter though. Don't forget to vote and comment!
